4 groups of violations of Mi Hong gold, some groups related to regulations on anti-money laundering
Mi Hong Co., Ltd. currently owns the Mi Hong gold brand in the Southern region, with 7 branches and more than 200 employees. The enterprise registered to operate in 2006, mainly trading in gold bars and pawn services.
Previously, Mi Hong had announced commitments on price listing, invoice issuance, traceability and control of documents and cash flow.
However, the recent inspection conclusion of the Government Inspectorate pointed out 4 groups of violations at Mi Hong. The enterprise has not reported to the SBV about the termination of gold bar business at some branches; providing false and incomplete information on the website; there are many violations of money laundering prevention and control such as not providing professional training, not collecting and updating customer information fully, and not classifying customers according to risk levels.
In addition, businesses also declare less PIT payable when members of the Board of Members transfer capital. The Government Inspectorate proposed that the Prime Minister direct the SBV to strengthen inspection, examination and strictly handle violations in the field of gold trading, including Mi Hong Co., Ltd. Taxes paid by business households may account for more than 40% of profits, experts recommend adjustments
The Ministry of Finance proposes raising the revenue threshold chosen to apply the direct tax calculation method on revenue for households and individuals doing business from 3 billion VND to 10 billion VND/year.

Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Ms. Le Yen - Director of Hanoitax - said that this change is more suitable for the reality that many households have revenue of 3-10 billion VND but are small in scale, have little personnel and are not capable of operating accounting systems, invoices, and documents like businesses.
According to experts, business households with revenue of over 1 billion to under 10 billion VND should be chosen to be taxed directly on revenue with a simple accounting and declaration regime or voluntarily switch to the revenue-to-expense method if they have sufficient management capacity.
For households with revenue from 10 billion VND or more, Ms. Yen proposed mandatory tax calculation based on revenue minus expenses to more accurately reflect business results, and at the same time, there should be a separate accounting regime, simpler for businesses and transition time. Exploring the pivot grape garden in the highlands of Phu Tho
In Luong Son commune, Phu Tho province, Mr. Nguyen Quang Trung has invested 2 hectares of land and 1,400 grapevines imported from Korea since 2022.
With a budget of nearly 1.5 billion VND/ha, gardeners build a system of greenhouses, drip irrigation, misting and semi-automatic fertilization to help "difficult" grape varieties adapt to local conditions.
After 3 harvests, the model shows clear efficiency with a production of more than 10 tons this year, each tree reaching 10-15kg of fruit. Grapes are grown according to VietGAP standards, are completing OCOP dossiers and are sold at the garden at a price of 29,000 VND/kg.
In addition to consuming products, gardeners also develop experiential tourism, attracting visitors from Hanoi and neighboring localities to visit and pick grapes. See more...
