Key traders are required to proactively forecast the market, diversify domestic and import supply sources, maintain gasoline and oil reserves, and ensure full supply for the entire distribution system, especially in remote and isolated areas. The Ministry also emphasized the requirement not to hoard goods waiting for price increases and maintain continuous retail operations.

Peak hour electricity prices: "Saving money is also difficult to avoid high hourly prices
The Ministry of Industry and Trade proposes to study applying electricity prices according to time frames for living customers when they meet technical conditions. However, many workers believe that it is very difficult to avoid using electricity during peak hours because living time is mainly concentrated after work.

Many workers said that activities such as cooking, bathing, turning on the air conditioner or washing clothes all take place from about 6:30 pm to 10 pm. If the electricity price at peak hours is higher, they are still forced to use electricity, while investing in solar power or electricity storage systems exceeds their financial capacity.
According to Dr. Nguyen Xuan Quang - Institute of Energy Technology, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, the new proposal is a long-term orientation and has not been applied immediately. The Ministry of Industry and Trade needs to carefully assess the impact on the low-income group, because if implemented simultaneously, hourly electricity prices may increase the burden of living costs for those who have difficulty changing habits or investing in energy-saving equipment.
