Technology motorbike taxi drivers switch to electric vehicles to save costs
Fluctuating gasoline prices and increasing operating costs are causing many technology motorbike taxi drivers in Hanoi to switch to using electric vehicles. According to drivers, gasoline money used to be up to 100,000 - 150,000 VND/day, not including maintenance costs, oil replacement and engine depreciation.
Many drivers said that electric vehicles significantly reduce operating costs. The cost of charging a battery each day is only about 30,000 VND, much lower than gasoline, and also reduces periodic maintenance costs. Thanks to that, actual income is improved and more stable.

Besides the benefits of cost savings, support programs such as free rental, battery exchange, car rental or car loan support also help drivers easily switch to electric vehicles. This trend is considered a solution to help increase income, and is also consistent with the orientation of reducing emissions and limiting gasoline cars in urban areas. See more...
