Bank interest rates today 15/3: Six banks have interest rates above 8%

Banks raise interest rates to 1.1%/year

NCB has just strongly increased deposit interest rates, accordingly, online deposit interest rates for interest paid at the end of the term, 1-month term increased by 0.2%/year to 4.7%/year, 2-5 month term also increased to 4.75%/year, the highest level according to the State Bank's regulations for terms of 6 months.

Terms from 6-11 months also increased by 0.15-0.2/year, simultaneously to 6.4%/year; terms of 12-13 months increased by 0.3%/year to 6.6%/year; term of 15 months increased by 0.4%/year to 6.7%/year; term of 18 months increased sharply by 0.5%/year to 6.8%/year; term of 24-60 months to 6.9%/year, respectively, interest rates for terms of 24-36 months increased by 0.6%/year and term of 60 months increased by up to 1.1%/year.

NCB also strongly increased deposit interest rates for the remaining products, accumulation savings, flexible principal withdrawal savings, An Phat savings, installment savings,... also exceeding 6%/year.

Notably, the 24-month term deposit certificate interest rate has increased from 7.1%/year to 7.4%/year.

Thus, since the beginning of March, 6 banks have increased deposit interest rates, including: VPBank, Sacombank, VietBank, MB, SHB and NCB.

Highest special interest rate 7-9%/year

Interest rates in many banks are listed at high levels, up to 7-9%. However, to receive this interest rate, special conditions are required.

MSB announced an interest rate of 9%/year, applicable to newly opened customers (or savings opened from the beginning of 2018 automatically renewed with deposit terms of 12 months, 13 months) and deposits from 500 billion VND or more for a term of 13 months.

PVcomBank is applying a special interest rate of 9%/year for terms of 12–13 months when depositing money at the counter, with the condition of maintaining a minimum balance of 20,000 billion VND.

HDBank applies an interest rate of 8.1%/year for a 13-month term and 7.7%/year for a 12-month term, with a minimum balance of 500 billion VND.

Vikki Bank applies an interest rate of 8.4%/year for deposits from 13 months or more, with a minimum deposit amount of 999 billion VND.

Cake by VPBank applies an interest rate of 7.1-7.3%/year for terms from 6 to 24 months. In March, the bank also announced a policy of adding interest rates up to 0.9% for deposit interest rates from 6-month terms, pushing the highest savings interest rate to over 8%/year.

SeABank has just announced a preferential interest rate program from February 23rd to April 8th, 2026. Accordingly, customers depositing savings from 50 million VND with a term of 6 months or more can receive interest rates up to 8.3%/year.

For deposit accounts from 500 million VND at OCB, this bank lists interest rates of 6.7%/year for terms of 12-15 months; term of 18 months 6.9%/year; term of 21 months 7%/year; term of 24 months 7.1%/year; term of 36 months 7.3%/year.

Interest rate above 6.5%/year without conditions attached

In addition to special interest rate packages, many banks are also listing interest rates above 6.5%/year for long terms without requiring a minimum deposit amount.

Vikki Bank applies an interest rate of 6.5%/year for 6-month terms; 6.6%/year and 6.7%/year respectively for 12-month and 13-month terms. Cake by VPBank lists an interest rate of 7.3%/year for 6-month terms and 7.1%/year for terms from 7–36 months.

Bac A Bank lists interest rates of 6.5%/year for terms from 6–11 months; 6.5%/year for terms of 12 months; 6.6%/year for terms of 13–15 months and 6.7%/year for terms from 18–36 months.

VIB applies an interest rate of 6.5%/year for a 12-month term; PVcomBank applies an interest rate of 6.8%/year for terms from 15–36 months.

PGBank applies an interest rate of 7.1%/year for terms of 6-9 months; terms of 12-13 months are 7.2%/year; terms of 18-36 months are 6.8%/year.

MBV applies an interest rate of 6.5%/year for terms of 6-11 months; 7.2%/year for terms of 12-36 months; MB applies an interest rate of 6.6% for terms of 24 months; SHB applies an interest rate of 6.6% for terms from 15 - 24 months.

BVBank applies interest rates of 6.6%/year for 12-month terms; 6.9%/year for 15-month terms; 7%/year and 7.1%/year for 18- and 24-month terms.

VietBank applies an interest rate of 6.5%/year for terms of 16 - 17 months; currently the highest deposit interest rate according to VietBank's listing is 6.6%/year, applied to terms of 18 - 36 months.

NCB applies interest rates of 6.6%/year for terms of 12-13 months; 6.7%/year for terms of 15 months; 6.8%/year for terms of 18 months; 6.9%/year for terms of 24-60 months.
