Nam A Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Nam A Bank) has just adjusted down deposit interest rates for some terms.
According to the latest VND online deposit interest rate schedule for interest payment at the end of the term, Nam A Bank reduced interest rates by 0.05 percentage points for terms of 2-5 months, down to 4.7%/year; 18-month term decreased by 0.1 percentage points, to 6.8%/year; 36-month term decreased by 0.3 percentage points, down to 6.6%/year. The remaining terms are kept unchanged.
Currently, the online deposit interest rate for 1-month term at Nam A Bank is 4.6%/year; 6-month term 6.4%/year; 7-8 months 6.5%/year; 9-12 months 6.6%/year and 13-17 months 6.7%/year.
The highest online interest rate listed by Nam A Bank is 6.9%/year, applied for a 24-month term, receiving interest at the end of the term.
For deposits at the counter, Nam A Bank maintains the interest rate schedule. The highest level is currently 6.3%/year, applied to terms of 13-36 months, receiving interest at the end of the term. The 12-month term has an interest rate of 6.2%/year, while the 6-month term is 5.6%/year.
Vietnam Foreign Trade Digital Technology Co., Ltd. (VCBNeo) also sharply reduced online savings interest rates. After the adjustment, the interest rate for terms of 1-5 months is at 4.75%/year, equal to the maximum interest rate for deposits with terms from 1 month to less than 6 months according to the regulations of the State Bank.
Terms from 6-60 months are simultaneously listed at 7%/year.
Previously, from August 11, VCBNeo strongly increased online deposit interest rates, bringing the 6-11 month term to 7.5%/year and the 12-36 month term to 7.8%/year.
Thus, compared to the interest rate just adjusted up earlier, VCBNeo has reduced 0.5 percentage points for the 6-11 month term and reduced 0.8 percentage points for the 12-36 month term.
