Interest rates increase for many terms
Vietnam Prosperity Joint Stock Commercial Bank (VPBank) announced the VND deposit interest rate schedule for individual customers, applicable from September 18, 2026.
Compared to the interest rate schedule applied previously, the bank adjusted upwards for terms of 6–13 months and 36 months, especially applicable to customers depositing money online.
For short terms, interest rates for terms of 6-12 months on online channels are adjusted upwards. For deposits under 3 billion VND, interest rates increase from 6.2% to 6.75%/year, equivalent to an increase of 0.55%/year.
For deposits from 3 billion VND to under 10 billion VND, interest rates for terms of 6–12 months increased from 6.2% to 6.8%/year, equivalent to an increase of 0.6%/year.


For the 36-month term, it increased from 4.2% to 5.85%/year, equivalent to an increase of 1.65%/year.
For deposits from 3 billion VND to under 10 billion VND, the interest rate for a 36-month term increased from 4.2% to 5.9%/year, equivalent to an increase of 1.7%/year.
