On July 28, Mr. Vu Dinh Cuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lam Dong province said that he had signed a decision to revoke many durian growing area codes and packaging facility codes of Mien Dong Vietnam Certification and Appraisal Joint Stock Company and Duc Phat Fresh Fruit Import-Export Joint Stock Company 168.
Both businesses whose farming area codes and durian packaging facility codes were revoked have their headquarters located in Ea Pal commune, Dak Lak province.
Accordingly, the Department revoked 5 planting area codes of Mien Dong Vietnam Certification and Appraisal Joint Stock Company in Quang Tan, Quang Son, Quang Truc and Dak Wil communes, with a total area of nearly 228ha of durian from 121 households.
At the same time, the Department also revoked 2 planting area codes and 5 packaging facility codes of Duc Phat Fresh Fruit Import-Export Joint Stock Company 168. These two planting area codes have a total area of about 75ha, linked to 28 households.
According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lam Dong province, the two enterprises have stopped purchasing activities and terminated links with growing areas because they no longer have sufficient financial capacity.
Therefore, businesses proactively request the cancellation of the issued codes to prevent legal risks from arising. The recall decisions take effect from July 24.
Notably, Mien Dong Vietnam Certification and Appraisal Joint Stock Company is a business with a legal representative being Mr. H.H.H. (born 1979), the victim in the murder case that occurred on the evening of July 2 in Buon Ma Thuot ward, Dak Lak province. The case is currently being investigated by the Ministry of Public Security.
According to business registration documents, Mien Dong Vietnam Certification and Appraisal Joint Stock Company is the new name of Duc Phat 168 Fresh Fruit Import-Export Joint Stock Company after changing its name in November 2025.
Previously, on July 18, the Government Inspectorate announced the decision to inspect the issuance and management of planting area codes and packaging facility codes in three localities including Lam Dong, Dong Thap and Dak Lak.
The inspection period is from March 23, 2023 to June 30, 2026, the inspection period is 60 days from the date of announcement of the decision.
