Industry and agriculture continue to be growth drivers
On August 5, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee said that in the first 7 months of 2026, industry and agriculture continued to be two important drivers promoting local economic growth.

The Industrial Production Index (IIP) increased by 10.48% compared to the same period last year. In which, the mining industry increased by 19.12%; the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 17.25%.
The bauxite - alumin - aluminum chain continues to play a key industry role, making a large contribution to economic growth, while Vinh Tan thermal power complex ensures electricity supply for production.
Agriculture continues to be the pillar of the economy. Prices of many key agricultural products such as coffee and durian are maintained at a high level, creating motivation for people to invest in intensive farming and improve product quality.

By mid-July, the total area of annual crop cultivation reached nearly 245,000ha, an increase of 2.02% compared to the same period. Raw material areas continue to be expanded, associated with processing and export enterprises, contributing to improving the value of agricultural products.
Prosperous production and business activities help budget revenue grow positively. Accumulated for 7 months, total state budget revenue in the area is estimated at 21,233 billion VND, equal to 61.66% of the year's estimate and an increase of 12.63% compared to the same period.

In which, domestic revenue reached 19,618 billion VND; revenue from import and export activities reached 1,615 billion VND, an increase of more than 72% compared to the same period.
Investment, trade and tourism maintain growth momentum
According to Mr. Pham Quoc Hung - Head of Statistics of Lam Dong province, public investment continues to be accelerated. In July alone, investment capital implemented from the state budget managed by the locality is estimated at 1,308.5 billion VND, an increase of nearly 21% compared to the same period; accumulated for 7 months reached 6,068.5 billion VND, an increase of 11.55%.

In the first 7 months of the year, the whole province had 2,732 newly established businesses, an increase of 34.52% compared to the same period, with a total registered capital of more than 14,685 billion VND.
At the same time, Lam Dong attracted 38 new investment projects, with a total registered capital of nearly 166,000 billion VND, creating additional resources for economic development.
Trade, services and tourism continued to improve. Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue increased by 18.08%; tourism revenue increased by 21.96%; number of tourists increased by 18.58%; transportation and warehousing revenue increased by 23.82% compared to the same period.

Exciting summer tourism has created a spread to the fields of accommodation, food and services.
Besides economic development, the fields of culture, education, health and social security continue to be concerned, contributing to maintaining social stability.

The results achieved in the first 7 months of the year create a foundation for Lam Dong to complete the socio-economic development goals in 2026.
Industry, agriculture, public investment, investment attraction along with trade and tourism continue to be important growth drivers.
