Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thao - owner of Thanh Thu dried fish facility - said that the facility has been proactive in sourcing goods for 2 months and is expected to supply the market with about 500kg of various dried products.Although the source of fresh fish is scarce, the price of dried products ranging from 200,000 - 350,000 VND/kg is still chosen by many families for Tet meals.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Tanh - owner of Thao Nguyen dried fruit facility - is also busy preparing 2-3 tons of dried fruit for the 2025 Tet market.
Mr. Tanh said that due to limited supply, the price of dried squid this year has increased from several tens to hundreds of thousands of VND/kg compared to last year.In particular, dried squid has increased the most, from 700,000-800,000 VND/kg to 1 million VND/kg.
"From about 23 to 29 of the lunar December is the peak buying and selling season.Therefore, establishments must prepare goods in advance to be able to supply the market in time," said Mr. Tanh.
Tofu "sold out" The bustling atmosphere also covers the My Hoa tofu craft village (Binh Minh town, Vinh Long province).
Ms. Dinh Thi Ngoc Thy - a long-standing producer - said that normally the facility produces 2-3 tons/month, but during Tet, it has to increase by 2-3 times.The furnaces operate non-stop, workers work continuously to deliver goods on time."Apart from the 7th lunar month, Tet is the peak consumption season for tofu.Although the work is tiring, everyone is happy because they have a source of income," Ms. Thy happily shared.
With many orders and continuous operation of tofu production facilities, many local workers have an additional income of 500,000 - 600,000 VND/person/day.
Mr. Dinh Cong Hoang - Head of the Cooperative for the production of tofu in My Hoa commune - said that the Cooperative has 33 households, creating jobs for more than 100 local workers.During Tet, the number of orders from the Cooperative increased, and the facilities operated day and night.Villagers were excited when their products were trusted by customers.
According to Mr. Hoang, the facilities have now diversified their products with many types such as dried tofu, young tofu, buffalo tongue, anchovies, etc. to meet the increasingly diverse needs of customers.The products of the craft village are not only consumed in the province but are also favored by customers in provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta region.
In the spirit of Tet production, in the last days of the year, the craft villages of Luc Si Thanh rice paper, cakes and jams in Binh Minh town (Vinh Long), Thuan Hung rice paper village (Can Tho city), Cai Doi Vam dried fish village (Ca Mau), Ganh Hao (Bac Lieu) ...are working day and night to meet orders.
