On July 31, according to Lao Dong's source, the Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee has just issued Decision No. 2623 sanctioning administrative violations against Nam Dong IV Hydropower Joint Stock Company.
Accordingly, Nam Dong IV Hydropower Joint Stock Company (headquartered in Nam Dong 2 residential group, Nghia Lo ward, Lao Cai province) did not review and adjust the operation process of Nam Dong IV hydropower reservoir when the deadline was due according to the provisions of law.
Violations were discovered during the process of appraising the reservoir operating procedure dossier.
Based on point c, clause 5, Article 21 of Decree No. 133/2026/ND-CP dated April 6, 2026 of the Government stipulating penalties for administrative violations in the field of electricity, the Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee decided to fine the enterprise the amount of 175 million VND.
According to the decision, the enterprise does not have aggravating or mitigating circumstances; it is not subject to additional penalties or remedial measures.
Nam Dong IV Hydropower Joint Stock Company must pay the fine within 10 days from the date of receiving the decision.
If they do not voluntarily comply, the enterprise will be subject to enforcement according to regulations and must pay an additional 0.05% per day on the late payment fine.
