Manulife Vietnam's "Choosing Green for Health - For a Healthy Vietnam" campaign has just been honored at the Global CSR & ESG Awards, in the category "Business with excellent community programs".

Substantial impact on the community

This is a prestigious global award, organized by The Pinnacle Group International to honor businesses with outstanding achievements in the field of sustainable development (ESG - Environmental, Social, Governance) and corporate social responsibility (CSR - Corporate Social Responsibility), with initiatives associated with the trend of economic transformation.

According to Mr. Eric Khoo - Head of the Evaluation Council, Manulife Vietnam's campaign has fully met the criteria of the award category, especially highlighted in three factors: actual impact on the community, long-term sustainability, and creative implementation.

The campaign "Choosing Green for Health - For a Healthy Vietnam" was launched in 2025, as part of a series of activities to raise awareness about the harmful effects of HP bacteria and digestive system diseases initiated by Manulife Vietnam in 2024.

In 2025, the campaign is expanded with many online and live activities, aiming to continue raising awareness about digestive health. Notably, Manulife Vietnam has coordinated with the Vietnam Young Physicians Association to implement more than 8,000 free health check-ups, raising the total number of check-ups to 20,000 since its launch in 2024.

Manulife Vietnam's orientation is also consistent with the strategy of helping the community live longer (longevity) that Manulife Finance Group is pursuing globally. From this perspective, physical, mental and financial health stability are considered three linking factors, contributing to creating a long and quality life.

Persistent with a long-term investment strategy for the community

Ms. Tina Nguyen - General Director of Manulife Vietnam said: "At Manulife, we believe that community activities need to create positive impacts and can be sustained in the long term. From health, environment to education and quality of life, Manulife wishes to accompany the community through practical initiatives, with the joint efforts of employees, partners and social organizations. This is also how we consistently pursue a sustainable development strategy.

Recently, in response to the Group's global Impact Week campaign, Manulife Vietnam has implemented a community week with many meaningful activities in the locality, including a waste collection program in Ho Chi Minh City. Company employees also proactively implement initiatives such as organizing fundraising fairs, teaching skills at charity schools... For each charity activity carried out by employees, Manulife Group contributes an additional 1,000 Canadian dollars to increase the value of sharing.

Globally, "Impact Week" is being implemented in 22 markets, with 234 charitable activities and 21,724 volunteer hours, focusing on the fields of environment, education, health, finance and social security.

In 27 years of operation in the Vietnamese market, Manulife has not only developed business but also steadfastly invested in the community through many long-term initiatives.

Manulife Vietnam's community activities focus on issues that have a long-term impact on quality of life such as health, environment, education and gender equality. These initiatives are implemented throughout, with clear focus and linked to the enterprise's commitment to sustainable development.
