According to Inspection Conclusion Notice No. 37/KL-TTNH issued on October 13, 2025, the inspection team of SBV7 conducted an inspection of credit granting activities, bad debt handling, implementation of policies to support customers borrowing capital according to regulations of the Government and SBV, as well as compliance with regulations on prevention, combating money laundering and combating terrorist financing. The inspection period is determined from January 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025.
The inspection conclusion stated that Vietinbank Ha Nam has basically complied with the regulations of the State, the State Bank and internal regulations of Vietinbank in its operations.
However, the inspection team pointed out some notable shortcomings in the credit granting activities of the branch:
Regarding loan applications, for loans serving the needs of customers who are business households, the loan application has not collected complete documents proving income from production and business activities in accordance with internal regulations of Vietinbank.
Regarding loan inspection and supervision, the periodic inspection records for customers granting credit to serve their living needs are still sketchy and lack details on the income situation used to repay debts of customers.
The minutes of the periodic inspection for individual customers borrowing for production and business activities do not fully show the contents according to internal regulations.
Regarding collateral (GIA), the branch has not conducted periodic TSBD inspections and assessments according to internal regulations.
The re-evaluation of TSBD has not been carried out periodically according to internal regulations of Vietinbank.
The inspection conclusion also determined that the above problems are due to the fact that relevant officials (including credit management staff, customer relationship staff, appraisal staff, approval leaders) have not thoroughly implemented the regulations of the State Bank and internal regulations of Vietinbank on credit granting activities.
Notably, the inspection team determined that Ha Nam Branch had not committed any serious violations of the law to the extent that administrative or criminal sanctions were required.
Based on the established problems, the Inspection Conclusion has issued 04 recommendations and specific recommendations requesting Vietinbank Ha Nam to promptly rectify and overcome errors, ensuring strict compliance with regulations in credit granting activities.
