On the afternoon of October 21, in Hanoi, Ms. Ha Thi Nga - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) chaired a meeting to give opinions on the content of the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Lao Cai province, term 2025-2030.
Presenting content related to the preparation for the organization of the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Lao Cai province, term 2025-2030, Ms. Giang Thi Dung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province said that with the motto "Solidarity - democracy - creativity - development", the Congress determined to continue to enhance the core political role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, promote the strength of national solidarity, contribute to building Lao Cai province to develop in a green, harmonious, unique and happy direction.
Accordingly, the content of the political report sets out 13 annual implementation targets; 5 targets for the term.
Regarding the personnel structure submitted to the Congress, the expected number of Committee members is 115, of which the proportion of members being ethnic minorities accounts for 46.42%; the proportion of women accounts for 29.46%; the proportion of non-Party people accounts for 15.17%; the proportion of religion accounts for 4.46%.
The Congress is expected to take place on October 31 and 1, 2025 with the participation of 380 official delegates and 185 invited delegates.
Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Ha Thi Nga highly appreciated and thanked the special attention of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee in leadership and direction; the coordination of the People's Committee, the Provincial People's Council, departments and branches of the province in coordinating the organization of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress at all levels and the organization of the 1st Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress of Lao Cai province, term 2025 - 2030; and welcomed the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province for actively and proactively implementing and preparing contents related to the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province, term 2025 - 2030.
Regarding the content of the political report, Vice President Ha Thi Nga suggested that it is necessary to closely follow the guiding viewpoints of General Secretary To Lam at the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Party Committee and Central organizations for the 2025-2030 term to concretize and integrate into the content of the agency programs of the term.
Along with that, it is necessary to study and supplement the implementation of local government at both levels in conjunction with the organization of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province after the reorganization and streamlining; characteristics, roles and development trends of all classes of people in the area; supplement the results, new points, advantages and limitations in the implementation, coordination and guidance of the Standing Committees and Committees of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the provincial and commune levels for socio-political organizations, mass organizations assigned by the Party and State after the merger, reorganize the apparatus according to the model of the two-level local government and propose a number of breakthrough solutions during the term.
