On May 23, information from the People's Committee of Nghe An province said that the inter-sectoral inspection team of the province discovered 7 establishments violating food safety regulations in the "Mess of Action for Food Safety" in 2026 and transferred dossiers requesting a total fine of 177 million VND.
Accordingly, implementing Decision No. 1527/QD-UBND, from April 20 to May 15, 2026, the inter-sectoral inspection team of Nghe An province conducted inspections of food safety law compliance at 18 food production, business and food service establishments in the area.
Through inspection, the delegation recorded 7 establishments violating food safety regulations. The main errors related to infrastructure hygiene conditions, processing procedures not ensuring one-way principles, risk of cross-contamination between raw and cooked foods, failure to properly implement the 3-step inspection regime and poor control of pests and animals in the processing area.
The inspection team assessed that some establishments and workers still have limitations in complying with food safety regulations, especially facilities hygiene conditions, processing procedures and pest control.
At the same time, the delegation proposed that localities strengthen post-inspection, strictly handle violations and publicize violating establishments for people to supervise. Sanctioned establishments are required to urgently overcome the shortcomings that have been pointed out.
According to the post-inspection report, violating establishments have complied with the handling and proactively overcome existing contents to ensure regulations on food safety in production and business activities.
List of violating establishments and penalties
1. Hoang Son Investment and Business Co., Ltd. (Do Luong commune): Fined 80 million VND.
Violation errors: Production process not following a one-way principle; infrastructure is waterlogged, cracked, and moldy; business does not have a Certificate of eligibility for food safety; not implementing a 3-step inspection regime.
2. Minh Tam Phat Clean Food Co., Ltd. (Truong Vinh ward): Fined 33 million VND.
Business area with cracked, moldy walls, ceilings, and floors; failure to maintain hygiene in the processed food business area.
3. Muong Thanh Cua Lo Hotel (Cua Lo ward): Fined 16 million VND.
Failure to ensure prevention of cross-contamination between raw and cooked foods; sewers in the kitchen area are stagnant; there are insects and harmful animals entering the processing area.
4. Hung Hoa Trading Service Co., Ltd. (Dong Loc commune): Fined 16 million VND.
Processing place with insects, harmful animals; not ensuring prevention of cross-infection in kitchen arrangement; drainage ditches are stagnant.
5. Minh Anh Tan Ky Garment Joint Stock Company (Tan Ky commune): Fined 16 million VND.
There are insects at the processing place; failure to ensure cross-contamination prevention; improper implementation of regulations on the 3-step inspection regime.
6. Mai Van Duy business household (Truong Vinh ward): Fined 8 million VND.
Waste collection tools without lids; lack of separate tools for fresh and processed food; insects in the preservation and processing area.
7. Pham Thi Thu Hien business household - Thien Thu Food (Thanh Vinh ward): Fined 8 million VND.
Using people in direct contact with food without full labor protection; production process not ensuring one-way principles.
