Entering the profession in 1998, with over 25 years of experience working with the power transmission line, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Tu - Team Leader of Power Transmission in Ben Cat - shared: "At first, when I received the task of propaganda in the team, I was quite bewildered due to the new working environment, and I had not been trained in propaganda procedures, mainly learning from practical experience outside. The more I worked, the deeper I became involved in implementing propaganda work, and I felt that this was a fascinating job, allowing me to gain many experiences when interacting with the people."
In addition to equipping knowledge of the law on electricity, related decrees, and circulars on the task of protecting the power grid, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Tu had to research the culture of organizations, habits of individuals living and working near the safety corridors of the power grid. He regularly went to each house and business with motorized activities along the corridors to disseminate and warn of potential electrical safety risks in order to prevent electrical accidents for the people.
According to Mr. Tu: “Due to the limited understanding of the 500kV and 220kV power transmission lines by the people and different opinions, the propaganda officer protecting the safety corridor must research the Electricity Law, regularly update new regulations on electrical safety, and closely follow local government agencies to grasp the development of the economy, society, and culture in the region to coordinate in managing electrical risk."
From there, he had a suitable propaganda and mobilization measure to ensure that the people fully understood the importance of protecting the safety corridors of the power transmission grid and protecting the power grid was a common task of the entire people, government agencies, and the Party and State."
Through his specific and practical actions, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Tu was awarded a certificate of merit by the People's Committee of Thu Thua District (Long An Province) for his outstanding achievements in the task of protecting the safety of the high-voltage power grid in 2022. Notably, in 2023, he was awarded a certificate of merit by the Public Security Department of Long An Province for his outstanding achievements in implementing the coordination mechanism in the task of protecting the safety of the power grid over the past three years on the territory of Long An Province.
