On the afternoon of November 25, the People's Committee of Ca Mau province held a conference to promote the disbursement of public investment capital in 2025 (8th time).
According to the Department of Finance of Ca Mau province, the average disbursement rate of public investment capital in the whole province reached 53.5%, among 18 investors, 11 investors disbursed above the provincial average and 7 investors disbursed below the average.
Typically: The Bac Lieu Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board (DTXD) (including affiliated units) disbursed 56.4%, not yet achieving the disbursement rate committed by the investor by November 15, 2025 (58.1%); Bac Lieu Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (including affiliated units) 52.5%, not yet achieving the disbursement rate committed by the investor by November 15, 2025 (55.6%); Provincial Construction Project Management Board (including affiliated units) 30.4%, not yet achieving the disbursement rate committed by the investor by November 15, 2025 (31%).

Mr. Tran Cong Khanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Finance of Ca Mau province - informed that the total public investment capital plan for 2025 (including the transferred capital plan for 2024) of Ca Mau province is more than 12,265 billion VND. As of November 20, the disbursement of public investment capital in 2025 has reached more than VND 6,564 billion, equal to 53.5% of the capital plan.
According to Mr. Lam Van Bi - Vice Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee - the current disbursement work of the locality still has certain limitations, mainly site clearance work, therefore, the Provincial People's Committee proposed that the relevant agencies establish a professional team to the communes and wards that are still involved in site clearance to support operations and processes. Communes and wards need to be proactive in site clearance, ensuring compliance with legal regulations. At the same time, review capital sources, clarify the responsibilities of investors that affect disbursement progress...

Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee Lu Quang Ngo suggested that investors urge contractors to focus resources, machinery and equipment to speed up the construction progress, and resolutely implement construction at locations without difficulties or obstacles. Accelerating the disbursement of public investment capital must go hand in hand with ensuring the quality of the project, not causing loss or waste of the State budget.
The leaders of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province also requested investors to closely coordinate with relevant departments and branches to carry out procedures and documents related to the disbursement of public investment capital. The Department of Finance coordinates with investors to review and inspect the conditions for extending the implementation period and disbursement of public investment capital from 2025 to 2026.
