According to Mr. Nguyen Van Dung - Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Ho Chi Minh City is a special urban area, an economic center and one of the important growth poles of the country.
To achieve the double-digit growth target for this term and build a foundation for long-term sustainable development, Ho Chi Minh City needs to expand regional linkage space, forming a complete supply chain from raw materials - production - logistics - services - tourism. In this orientation, Ca Mau is a locality that simultaneously meets the requirements of resources, development space and strategic location of the marine economy.
Over the years, the cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and Ca Mau has achieved positive results in the fields of investment, trade, tourism, healthcare, human resource training and OCOP product development. These achievements create a foundation for the development of socio-economic linkages between the two localities.
Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Dung suggested that the authorities of both sides continue to proactively provide information, clarify mechanisms, receive and promptly handle investor proposals. He also hopes that businesses will frankly share their cooperation needs, while promotion points will serve as a long-term bridge, accompanying businesses from initial contact to project operation.

From a strategic perspective, Mr. Vo Tan Thanh - Vice President of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) said that in order for Ca Mau to become a new growth pole, the locality needs a regional development mindset, a closely linked strategy with neighboring localities and a specific mechanism to effectively exploit the potential of the sea, energy and geographical location.
He proposed four groups of breakthrough solutions including: developing connecting infrastructure and regional logistics; completing energy infrastructure, towards a national renewable energy center; improving institutions and the investment environment to promote the private economic sector; developing human resources and science and technology. In addition, the strategic priority is identified as green and sustainable economic development.
Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai emphasized that after the merger, Ca Mau will enter a new phase with a large space and many outstanding advantages. Ca Mau possesses many strategic advantages such as a national aquaculture center, renewable energy center; large mangrove ecosystem - the foundation for green economic development and circular economy. The local technical infrastructure has also been invested heavily, including Hon Khoai dual-use general port capable of receiving 250,000-ton ships, a level 4C airport and three expressways connecting to economic centers of the region and Ho Chi Minh City.
Along with the potential and strengths of Ca Mau province, this conference will be an opportunity for businesses and investors to meet, exchange and seek investment opportunities in Ca Mau. At the same time, it will become a bridge connecting provincial enterprises with partners and enterprises in provinces and cities across the country, aiming to promote investment cooperation and mutual development in the future.
