According to Labor, on the Seventh Day of the Seventh Month (also known as the Ngâu Festival), which is associated with the legend of Ngưu Lang and Chức Nữ, many young people flock to tea shops in Ho Chi Minh City to enjoy red bean dessert. In fact, some people have to wait for nearly 30 minutes to enjoy this dish, hoping to "escape being single."
Sister Nguyễn Thị Thanh Thảo (residing in Gò Vấp District) shared that this is the first time she has tried red bean dessert on the Seventh Day of the Seventh Month.
"Every year, I have heard people say that eating red bean dessert on the Seventh Day of the Seventh Month will help find a soulmate. This year, I finally had the opportunity to experience it, and I'm not sure what the result will be, but I found that the tea shop was much busier than I expected," - Sister Thảo said.
As for Brother Kiệt (residing in Hóc Môn District), this is the second time he has eaten red bean dessert in the hope of finding his other half. "I walked around the tea shops in District 5 today and found that they were quite crowded, with many young people like me coming to the tea shops to eat red bean dessert and hope to find love like in the legend," - Brother Kiệt laughed.
A tea shop owner in District 5 said that this year's Seventh Day of the Seventh Month, the shop had to prepare more ingredients than usual. It is estimated that the revenue will increase by 2-3 times. "From the morning, the number of customers has been increasing. Even on the ordering app, there are many orders, so my shop has to operate continuously," - the tea shop owner said.
