The event not only reviews the journey of more than three decades of playing the role of a key unit of the Vietnam National Group of Industry and Energy (PETROVIETNAM), but also is an opportunity to honor outstanding collectives at the PV GAS Sports Festival 2026.
The anniversary ceremony was attended by Comrade Bui Minh Tien, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of PV GAS's Board of Directors; Comrade Duong Tri Hoi, General Director of PV GAS, along with members of the Board of Directors (BOD), Board of General Directors, Supervisory Board; representatives of leaders of Departments/Offices/Centers, affiliated units, members; Trade Union organizations, Youth Unions, Veterans Associations and officials, employees, and laborers (CBCNV - NLĐ) of PV GAS.
PV GAS's journey began on September 20, 1990 with a decision to bring the strategic vision of the Oil and Gas industry: establishing a Gas Company to collect gas sources accompanying the Bach Ho field, ending the wasteful burning of national resources. From the first gas flow ashore in 1995, PV GAS has gradually shaped and completed modern gas industry infrastructure throughout the length of the country, with typical milestones such as Dinh Co Gas Processing Plant, Nam Con Son pipeline system, PM3 - Ca Mau, Ham Rong - Thai Binh, Thi Vai LPG cold storage cluster, Ca Mau Gas Processing Plant and Thi Vai LNG warehouse with 1 million tons.
To date, PV GAS has supplied over 190 billion m3 of dry gas, nearly 34 million tons of LPG and LNG and nearly 2.4 million tons of condensate (light gasoline). In terms of economy, PV GAS contributed more than 1.5 million billion VND in revenue, nearly 257 trillion VND in pre-tax profit and paid more than 120 trillion VND to the State budget.
Currently, PV GAS's raw material source ensures about 8% of the national electricity output, meets 70% of nitrogen fertilizer demand and controls about 70% of the domestic LPG market share, maintaining a contribution ratio of 18% of revenue and 25% of the Group's total profit.
At the ceremony, Comrade Bui Minh Tien, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of PV GAS's Board of Directors emphasized the role of each PV GAS person, from the operating force at projects, factories, warehouses to the technical, business, management, financial, investment, human resources and service team. It is the spirit of solidarity, discipline, responsibility, professionalism and aspiration to rise of generations that has created today's PV GAS brand.

Comrade Bui Minh Tien affirmed that PV GAS needs to proactively innovate for development, linking growth with efficiency, expanding scale with competitiveness, investing with substantive value and integrating with autonomy capacity. Innovation needs to become a constant thinking and action of each unit, official and employee of PV GAS.
To realize PV GAS's development goals in the coming time, Comrade Bui Minh Tien oriented four core focuses: i) Continue to improve the gas energy value chain from upstream - midstream to downstream; ii) Focus on investing in gas and LNG infrastructure according to the model of integrated ecological energy centers (LNG Hubs); iii) Promote international business with the goal of accounting for at least 30% of revenue, and iv) Pioneer the development of green energy sources such as hydrogen, green ammonia, refrigeration, industrial gas, and raw materials for petrochemicals...

From long-term development orientations to the spirit of cohesion in the collective, people continue to be the factor creating the strength of PV GAS. That spirit is clearly shown through the 2026 PV GAS Sports Festival, where officials and employees of units spread energy, team spirit and aspiration to rise up. Within the framework of the program, the Organizing Committee awarded the overall prize, honoring collectives with outstanding achievements on the medal standings.
The overall first prize belonged to the Southeast Gas Branch (KDN); the overall second prize was awarded to the Southwest Gas Branch (KTN); the overall third prize belonged to the collective of the Management Agency (CQĐH) of the Corporation and CNG Vietnam Joint Stock Company (PV GAS CNG). The overall consolation prizes were awarded to Gas Service Company, Vietnam Oil and Gas Steel Pipe Production Joint Stock Company, Vietnam LPG Joint Stock Company, Nam Con Son Gas Pipeline Company and Vietnam Low Pressure Gas Distribution Joint Stock Company.

Closing 36 years of formation and development, PV GAS embarks on a new journey with solidarity, collective wisdom and commitment to strongly innovate management methods. All employees - workers of the Corporation continue to join hands and unite, expand development space, maintain the position of the number one enterprise in the gas industry, continue to be the key unit of PETROVIETNAM and steadily reach regional levels.
