Karate brings 2nd medal for Vietnam at ASIAD 20

Athlete Bui Ngoc Nhi won a bronze medal in the women's individual kata event in karate, thereby helping the Vietnamese sports delegation have their 2nd medal at ASIAD 20.

On the morning of September 20, at Toyohashi Gymnasium, Bui Ngoc Nhi entered the bronze medal match in the women's individual kata karate event. The opponent of the Vietnamese athlete is Leong Wai Yee Shannon (Singapore).

In this important match, Ngoc Nhi performed her performance with high concentration. After the performance of the two athletes, the final result was determined to be 4-1 in favor of Bui Ngoc Nhi.

The victory helped the Vietnamese female athlete win a bronze medal in the women's individual kata event at ASIAD 20. This is also the 2nd medal of the Vietnamese sports delegation at this year's Games.

Previously, Nguyen Hoang Minh Tan and Trinh Gia Nghi won bronze medals in the mixed doubles teqball event. The two Vietnamese athletes defeated the pair Dsouza Quimcy Joaquim - Beg Mohamed Anas Imran of India with a score of 2-0 in the bronze medal match, thereby bringing home the first medal for the Vietnamese sports delegation at ASIAD 20.

Thus, the Vietnamese sports delegation has 2 bronze medals after the first medal-scoring events on the morning of September 20, both from teqball and karate.

ASIAD 20 takes place in Aichi - Nagoya (Japan), gathering leading Asian athletes competing in many sports. The Vietnamese sports delegation aims to improve achievements compared to the previous Games.
