In recent days, Hanoi has been immersed in prolonged cold and rainy weather, with low temperatures greatly affecting the supply of green vegetables, causing prices of many items to increase.
Recorded at traditional markets in the city, many types of vegetables such as spinach, water spinach, water spinach, broccoli, etc. are consumed strongly, while prices increase due to reduced supply.

Ms. Bui Thi The - a trader at Cau Giay market (Hanoi), said: "The past few days have been cold, many vegetables in the fields have been damaged, and there are few goods, so prices have increased every day, about 30% compared to before".
Mr. Pham Van Dung - a trader at Ba Dinh market (Hanoi), shared: "Coal buyers are upset because the price is high, but we have no other choice. With low supply and increased import prices, we are forced to adjust selling prices."
Currently, vegetable prices at markets are at a high level such as mustard 25,000 VND/kg, mustard 17,000 - 20,000 VND/kg, water spinach 10,000 - 18,000 VND/fruit, cabbage 15,000 VND/kg, ... However, vegetables such as potatoes, carrots, and kohlrabi do not have many fluctuations in price.
The sharp increase in green vegetable prices has caused many housewives to have a headache when balancing family expenses.
Ms. Hoang Thi Ha (Nam Tu Liem, Hanoi) lamented: "Before, 100,000 VND could buy enough vegetables for a whole week, now I can only buy a few meals. Not only vegetables, meat and fish have also increased in price, causing the cost of living to increase significantly".
Prolonged cold rain not only affects daily life but also causes prices of green vegetables in Hanoi to increase sharply. Consumers need to consider when choosing food, while farmers and traders are still trying to ensure supply to the market.
