On March 7, according to records in Gia Lai, the temporary suspension of selling gasoline and oil through cans and drums has caused difficulties for some people and workers using machinery in remote and isolated areas.
Mr. Nguyen Van Tri - an agricultural producer in Chu Pah commune said: "I often buy gasoline and oil in cans to serve tractors, water pumps or production equipment in the fields, far from gas stations. When the temporary suspension regulation was applied, I had to move many times or bring my vehicle to the gas station to refuel, increasing costs and travel time.
Mr. Le Van Hung - residing in Dak Doa commune shared: "Regularly operating coffee watering pumps, each time I water, I have to use quite a lot of oil to run the generator. Previously, I bought a few cans and brought them to the fields to use gradually. If I don't sell oil through cans, transporting gasoline to the fields will be very inconvenient and difficult.
Similarly, some drivers operating excavators and excavators to level the ground also said that the temporary suspension of selling gasoline and oil through cans and drums causes them obstacles in their work. Many construction machines operate at construction sites or areas far from the center, unable to move to gas stations to refuel.
Excavators and excavators work at the construction site, they cannot go to the gas station. Normally, drivers often buy oil in cans and bring it to pour into the engine. If they stop selling through cans, they have to find other ways, which is very inconvenient.
Some people also proposed that functional agencies and petroleum businesses need to have flexible solutions, such as allowing the sale of gasoline and oil through cans for cases serving production, agriculture or vehicles that cannot move to gas stations, and at the same time strengthen control to avoid speculation and profiteering from collecting goods.

On March 7, Petrolimex Gia Lai Co., Ltd. said that the unit had an official letter requesting that from March 5, stores temporarily stop selling gasoline and oil through cans and drums.
In recent days, through checking Egas data (a comprehensive management system for gas stations and retail gas station chains) and the surveillance camera system, the Company has discovered many cases of customers buying gasoline and oil through cans and drums in large quantities.
While previously, these customers bought relatively few goods. This reality led to a sudden increase in sales figures at some units under the Company.
Implementing the direction of Vietnam National Petroleum Group, Petrolimex Gia Lai Co., Ltd. requested stores to temporarily stop selling gasoline and oil through cans and drums.
At the same time, directing the Business Department and Petrolimex Pleiku Branch to strengthen the control of sales for all methods, promptly report and propose to the Company's leaders for handling.
