On February 5, Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to inform about the results of the socio-economic development plan for 2025, and at the same time orient key tasks for 2026. According to the report, after merging Long An and Tay Ninh provinces from July 1, 2025, the Provincial People's Council issued a resolution identifying 12 key targets for the last 6 months of the year.
At the end of the year, all 12/12 targets were achieved and exceeded the set plan, many targets recorded fairly good growth, reflecting the stable operation and adaptability of the local economy in the context of many fluctuations.
The agriculture, forestry and fishery sector increased by 4.24%, continuing to play a fundamental role. Solutions to prevent and combat drought, saltwater intrusion and natural disasters are being implemented synchronously, contributing to minimizing damage, stabilizing production and people's lives.

The industrial - construction sector is the main driving force for growth, with an increase of 12.47%; industry alone increased by over 13%. The industrial production index in 2025 increased by nearly 15% compared to the same period, in which the processing and manufacturing industry increased sharply, showing a clear recovery of production activities as well as positive signals from the domestic market and exports.
The trade - service sector continued to recover, increasing by 8.31%. Total retail sales of goods and service revenue increased by over 16%, the number of tourists increased by more than 14%, contributing to expanding the growth space and creating more jobs.
Public investment work was focused on and directed early by the province. Total public investment capital in 2025 reached more than 17,100 billion VND, the disbursement rate was over 86% of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister. Many key projects and works were accelerated, national target programs, especially new rural construction, achieved a positive disbursement rate.
In parallel, investment promotion activities continue to be promoted through dialogue programs and meetings with domestic and foreign businesses, aiming to remove difficulties and improve the investment environment. In 2025, many large-scale industrial and commercial projects were started, including projects to celebrate the Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term.
Stepping into 2026, Tay Ninh determines to continue to exploit new geo-economic advantages, promote economic restructuring, create breakthroughs in science and technology, digital transformation and international integration, associated with ensuring social security. The province sets a GRDP growth target of 10-10.5%, GRDP per capita of about 5, 249 USD.
