On the morning of February 1 (the 4th day of Tet), Cai Lan International Container Terminal Company Limited (CICT) - the unit managing and operating berths 2, 3, and 4 of Cai Lan port - loaded and unloaded more than 66,000 tons of bulk cargo from two ships docked at the port.
The Alba ship (Bahamian nationality) transported 36,000 tons of imported wheat, and the Stamina Diva ship (Panama nationality) carried more than 30,000 tons of imported corn.
It is expected that on February 2 (the 5th day of Tet), CICT will continue to welcome the ship CS Bright (Panama nationality) with 48,000 tons of wood chips for export.
Even during the Lunar New Year holiday, the company still arranged enough human resources and equipment to ensure the progress of loading and unloading goods and releasing ships according to plan.
Previously, on January 31 (the third day of Tet), Quang Ninh Port Joint Stock Company welcomed two consecutive ships to load cargo, including the Sendai Spirit (38,000 tons of wood chips for export) and the Oriental Breeze (35,000 tons of wood chips for export).
By 2025, Quang Ninh port aims to handle 9.3 million tons of all kinds of goods through the port, striving to achieve revenue of over 500 billion VND.
