According to the Quang Ninh Department of Tourism, on January 31 (the third day of Tet), the total number of tourists in the province was estimated at 175,000, an increase of 17% over the same period last year. Of which, international visitors reached 34,000, domestic visitors reached 141,000. The number of international visitors staying overnight reached 16,950. Total revenue from tourism during the day was estimated at about 428 billion VND.
Some tourist attractions that attract a large number of visitors include Cua Ong Temple with 16,875 visitors; Cai Bau Pagoda with 29,000 visitors; Yen Tu with 12,168 visitors; Bach Dang relic site and tourist attractions in Quang Yen with 29,000 visitors.
Tran Dynasty Relic Site (Dong Trieu city) had 6,308 visitors.
Other notable tourist attractions include Ha Long Bay with 8,917 visitors; Sun World Ha Long Park with 2,000 visitors.
Number of international visitors entering through Mong Cai international border gate 4,777 arrivals.
During the 7-day Tet holiday (from January 25 to January 31), the total number of tourists to Quang Ninh reached more than 552,000, including more than 362,000 domestic visitors and 190,000 international visitors. Total tourism revenue during the 7-day Tet holiday is estimated at 1,518 billion VND.
