Thanh Hoa - The Provincial People's Committee requests to expand the domestic market, stimulate consumer demand, support product consumption, and contribute to completing the 2026 growth target.

On August 19, Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee issued a document requesting departments, branches, and localities to implement solutions to promote the development of the domestic market, stimulate consumer demand, in order to exploit market space and contribute to completing the growth targets for 2026.

According to the direction of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Industry and Trade is assigned to be the focal point for implementation, focusing on areas and items that still have room to increase consumption, suitable to the specific characteristics of the province.

One of the key tasks is to increase connectivity between manufacturing enterprises and distribution systems, support product consumption of Thanh Hoa, and diversify sources of goods to serve people's shopping needs.

The province requires strengthening supply-demand connection activities, especially in rural, mountainous, remote and isolated areas. Models such as mobile Vietnamese goods fairs, fixed sales points associated with community activity centers, and commune cultural houses are encouraged to be implemented.

Local specialty products and OCOP products will also be connected to distribution systems and agricultural product trading floors to expand markets from rural to urban areas and towards exports.

Along with traditional distribution channels, Thanh Hoa encourages businesses, cooperatives, business households and people to apply information technology, digital transformation, and develop e-commerce to expand consumption markets.

Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee requests to promote programs to bring Vietnamese goods to rural areas, industrial parks, especially on holidays, Tet and when shopping demand increases.

Based on the actual situation, the Department of Industry and Trade will advise on organizing centralized promotions on a provincial scale, and at the same time implement centralized promotion programs launched by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is assigned to integrate programs to promote domestic tourism, cultural events, and festivals with trade promotion activities. Thereby, increasing the experience of Vietnamese goods and services, serving both domestic and international tourists.

People's Committees of communes and wards are responsible for coordinating the implementation of activities to bring Vietnamese goods to the area, supporting the consumption of typical products, OCOP products; and at the same time creating conditions for businesses, cooperatives, and business households to organize sales points, trade promotion programs and promotions according to regulations.

The Provincial Business Association and VCCI Thanh Hoa - Ninh Binh Branch mobilize businesses to participate in trade promotion programs, connect supply and demand, stimulate consumer demand, digital transformation and expand consumption markets.

In parallel with stimulating demand, the province requires increased inspection of prices, quality, origin of goods and food safety, protecting consumer rights.
