On July 7, Thanh Hoa Provincial Tax Department held a conference to summarize tax work in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2026.
According to the report at the conference, in the first 6 months of 2026, total domestic revenue of Thanh Hoa province reached 20, 212 billion VND, equal to 62% of the centrally assigned estimate, 61% of the provincially assigned estimate and 105.9% compared to the same period in 2025.
Among the 12 main revenue items and taxes, 7 revenue items increased compared to the same period. Some revenue items achieved a fairly good increase such as revenue from the state-owned enterprise sector reaching 849 billion VND, an increase of 26.5%; revenue from the non-state sector reaching 3,860 billion VND, an increase of 65.5%; personal income tax reaching 877 billion VND, an increase of 4.9%.
According to Thanh Hoa Provincial Tax Department, the above results were achieved thanks to the synchronous implementation of many revenue management solutions, combating budget revenue loss; improving the quality of tax declaration and payment; strengthening guidance and support for taxpayers and promoting tax debt recovery according to regulations.
Mr. Le Quang Hung - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial State Budget Revenue Steering Committee emphasized that state budget revenue is not only a financial target but also an important resource for the province to achieve socio-economic development goals, ensure national defense - security and social security.
To complete the 2026 budget revenue task, leaders of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee proposed that the Provincial Tax Department closely follow the direction of the Ministry of Finance, the Tax Department, the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial People's Committee; proactively analyze and forecast revenue sources, promptly advise on appropriate management solutions, and strive to complete and exceed the assigned estimate.
Regarding land revenues, Thanh Hoa Provincial Tax Department is required to closely coordinate with departments and branches to review projects, dossiers and receivables; not to delay determining financial obligations or delay collecting and remitting to the budget. At the same time, accelerate the progress of determining specific land prices, appraising and approving auction plans, determining starting prices for land-using projects, ensuring accurate, sufficient and timely collection into the State budget.
