That is Decision No. 1142/QD-TTg issued by the Prime Minister on June 13, 2025.
The Free Trade Zone in Da Nang City is assigned to the Management Board of Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Parks (DSEZA) as the agency performing the function of direct state management in this area according to the "one-stop, on-site" model.
According to the Prime Minister's Decision, the Free Trade Zone in Da Nang City will include functional areas: production, logistics, trade - services, digital technology industry, information technology and innovation and other types of functional areas according to the provisions of law.
According to the plan, the Da Nang Free Trade Zone is located at 7 locations in Lien Chieu and Hoa Vang districts. The goal is to form a center for international trade and logistics connectivity and the Central Key Economic Zone.
The Da Nang Free Trade Zone is planned and developed on a modern infrastructure platform, synchronizing the fields of production, trade, logistics, technology and high-quality services, aiming to become a regional economic center, playing the role of a strategic growth pole for the Central region and the whole country in the new development context.
The long-term goal is to build the Da Nang Free Trade Zone into an important link in the global supply chain network and the Asia-Pacific region; a production center, an international cargo transit unit associated with Lien Chieu Port, Da Nang International Airport and the East-West Economic Corridor.
Contributing to promoting the development of high-tech industry, innovation and digital transformation, actively contributing to the economic restructuring process of the new Da Nang City after merging with Quang Nam province towards sustainability and deep integration.
Developing the Da Nang Free Trade Zone in conjunction with the International Financial Center in Da Nang city, forming a modern, smart, highly competitive economic ecosystem, creating great influence, contributing to enhancing Vietnam's position in the region and internationally in the context of globalization.
The People's Committee of Da Nang City is assigned to take full responsibility for informing and submitting to the Prime Minister a specific project to establish this free trade zone; organize the implementation of investment in construction, attract social resources and call for investment in the form of PPP.
