Binh Thuan is known as the main land for growing dragon fruit. While the traditional red-skinned, white-fleshed dragon fruit has long been familiar, the hybridization of red-skinned, red-fleshed or purple-pink dragon fruit has created product diversity for this plant species. However, the yellow-skinned dragon fruit is a unique product that attracts buyers with its eye-catching color and hard green ears.

That is also the reason why in the past few days, this type of dragon fruit has attracted people to buy to display on the ancestral altar fruit tray during Tet. The yellow color of the dragon fruit symbolizes goodness, intertwined with the colors of many other fruits. Some people also choose yellow-skinned dragon fruit and red-skinned dragon fruit with 2 colors red and yellow to display on the altar to bring a cozy feeling.
Many people are looking to buy yellow-skinned dragon fruit, although the price of this season ranges from 40,000 VND - 60,000 VND/kg, making gardeners excited.

The price fluctuates quite high due to the classification of the fruit. Large yellow-skinned dragon fruits weighing about 700 grams/fruit, with hard green ears that are not broken, and beautiful shiny skin cost up to 60,000 VND/kg.
Ms. Thanh Tam - a business owner in Ho Chi Minh City - said that because she found the yellow-skinned dragon fruit strange and liked the yellow color, this Tet holiday, she ordered 20 kg of yellow-skinned dragon fruit (60,000 VND/kg) and 20 kg of red-skinned dragon fruit with purple-pink flesh (40,000 VND/kg) in Binh Thuan. At home and in the store, she only displayed fruit trays with the red and yellow colors of these two types of dragon fruit, which were very beautiful.

Despite the high price and high demand, to grow yellow-skinned dragon fruit, gardeners must follow the correct technical process and many cycles to get big, beautiful fruit. Therefore, not every gardener can grow this type of dragon fruit.
