Market Management Team No. 10, Market Management Department of Da Nang City has just fined 8 million VND to a business establishment for goods of unknown origin; at the same time, forced the destruction of all violating goods according to the law.
Previously, the Market Management force conducted a surprise inspection at the business household L.T.M in Tra Long village, Thang Dien commune. At the time of inspection, this establishment was selling more than 3,000 cakes and candy products without invoices or documents proving their legal origin. The inspection team has drawn up a record, submitted to the competent authority to issue a decision to sanction and destroy all violating goods.
Since the beginning of the year, the Market Management Department of Da Nang City has inspected more than 719 cases, handling 469 violations related to smuggled goods, banned goods, goods of unknown origin, trade fraud and goods violating intellectual property rights. The total amount of fines and sales seized was nearly 5 billion VND.
The City Market Management Department said it will continue to strengthen inspections in the last months of the year, focusing on items such as milk, drugs, cosmetics and health protection foods. Along with that, step up inspection of e-commerce and online business activities, closely coordinate with the police, customs, tax and People's Committees of wards and communes to strictly handle fake and smuggled goods trading hotspots.
