Visiting to buy eggs at a truck on Pham Van Dong Street (Thu Duc City), Ms. Dang Le Thanh said that in recent days, she has seen many places selling eggs at cheap prices, so she bought them to eat.
"Eggs are an essential food, so when I saw the cheap price, I took the opportunity to buy more to gradually use. Here, there are types that are only 15,000 VND/serving (10 eggs)" - Ms. Thanh said.

However, some consumers also expressed concern about the quality of cheap eggs.
Mr. Pham Van Hoang - a customer buying eggs at Ba Chieu market - said: "I see many egg stalls at much cheaper prices than in supermarkets, some places are still packaged in plastic boxes but I am still worried about the un guaranteed origin. I still prioritize buying at more reputable stores".
According to Lao Dong, at many traditional markets such as Nguyen Tri Phuong (District 10), Thiec Market (District 11), Ban Co (District 3), stalls selling chicken and duck eggs also have a price list of only 20,000-30,000 VND/box (10 eggs). At supermarkets, chicken eggs are also discounted.

Mr. Truong Chi Thien - General Director of Vinh Thanh Dat Food Joint Stock Company - said that eggs being sold at the market, carts... are very cheap, most of them are old eggs, which have been in excess since the recent Tet holiday.
Although egg prices have decreased sharply, consumers should carefully check the origin and quality of the product when buying. At the same time, shopping at a reputable store helps ensure food safety and maintain market stability.
Enterprises are looking for solutions for consumption by investing in technology, researching in-depth processing to proactively source goods, also helping to increase product value. At the same time, boost poultry egg exports to potential markets.
