Hanoi, July 10, 2026 – Military Industry - Telecommunications Group (Viettel) announced that it has successfully auctioned the right to use the mobile telecommunications network code 095. This is the last 10-digit mobile prefix to be auctioned according to the regulations of the management agency, contributing to supplementing the number resource to meet the needs of subscriber development and digital services in the new period.
As one of the familiar 10-digit prefixes for Vietnamese users, 095 offers more choices for customers who love traditional prefixes as well as have a need to own beautiful, easy-to-remember subscriber numbers. In the context that subscriber numbers are increasingly becoming a part of digital identity, serving communication, transactions and using digital services, the addition of new prefixes not only meets current needs but also creates resources to serve the long-term development of telecommunications infrastructure and digital ecosystems.
The telecommunications network code is a national resource managed and allocated by the State through an auction mechanism to ensure effective, public and transparent use. The ownership of the 095 prefix continues to demonstrate Viettel's proactiveness in investing and effectively exploiting telecommunications resources, while preparing capacity to serve the increasing connection needs of people, businesses and organizations in the digital age.
A representative of Viettel said: "Owning the 095 prefix not only helps Viettel expand its number resource but also brings more choices to customers, especially those who love traditional 10-digit prefixes. We will quickly put the new prefix into operation, ensuring that customers fully experience the services on the Viettel digital ecosystem with consistent and stable quality.
Currently, Viettel owns the most diverse mobile prefix portfolio in Vietnam, including prefixes 096, 097, 098, 086 and prefix range 03 (032–039). The addition of prefix 095 continues to expand the number choice, meeting the increasingly diverse needs of individual customers, businesses and organizations.
After completing the procedures according to the regulations of the management agency, Viettel will synchronously deploy technical items and put the 095 prefix into operation nationwide as soon as possible. Customers who register a new prefix will be able to fully use the services on Viettel's telecommunications infrastructure and digital ecosystem, from mobile connection, 5G to digital platforms for individuals, businesses and organizations.
