Computer and phone exports bring in more than 100 billion USD

The data is collected up to the end of October 2024. The two export groups above are dominated by FDI enterprises.

According to the latest statistics of the General Department of Customs, by the end of October 2024, computers, electronic products and components continued to be Vietnam's largest export group with a turnover of 58.67 billion USD, an increase of 26.1% over the same period last year.

Meanwhile, phones and components ranked second with 46.47 billion USD, up 4.9%.

Statistics show that the total export turnover is 105.14 billion USD, the two largest commodity groups account for 31.32% of the country's total export turnover.

Over the past years, computers, electronic products and components; phones and components have maintained their position as the two largest export groups of Vietnam.

Both of the above main export groups are dominated by FDI enterprises.

Of which, 96.68% of export turnover of computers, electronic products and components comes from FDI enterprises. This figure for the phone and components industry is up to 99.67%.

The export markets for these product groups are diverse and rich, including major economies such as the United States, China, EU, Korea, UAE, etc.

Regarding the country's export activities in general, in 10 months, the total turnover reached 335.633 billion USD, an increase of 14.9% over the same period last year.
