For drivers of cars and similar vehicles:
- Fine from 4 - 6 million VND for the following acts :
+ Failure to comply with regulations when entering or exiting the highway;
+ Driving the vehicle in the emergency stop lane or the shoulder of the highway;
+ Changing lanes at the wrong place or without signaling when driving on the highway;
+ Failure to comply with regulations on safe distance for vehicles driving immediately before driving on the highway.
- Fine from 10 - 12 million VND for the following acts:
+ Stopping or parking on the highway at the wrong place;
+ There is no signal to let other drivers know when they are forced to stop or park on the highway in the wrong place;
+ U-turn on the highway.
- Fine from 16 - 18 million VND for driving the vehicle in the opposite direction on the highway, reversing on the highway, except for priority vehicles on emergency duty according to regulations.
For drivers of motorbikes, mopeds (including electric motorbikes), motorbike-like vehicles and moped-like vehicles:
- A fine of 2 - 3 million VND will be imposed for driving a vehicle onto the highway, except for vehicles serving the management and maintenance of the highway.
- Fine from 4 - 5 million VND for entering the highway causing traffic accidents.
For drivers of tractors and specialized motorbikes:
- Fine from 800,000 VND to 1 million VND for the following acts:
+ Failure to comply with regulations when entering or exiting the highway;
+ Driving the vehicle in the emergency stop lane or the shoulder of the highway;
+ Changing lanes at the wrong place or without signaling when driving on the highway;
+ Failure to comply with regulations on safe distance for vehicles driving immediately before driving on the highway.
- Fine from 3 - 5 million VND for the following acts:
+ Stopping or parking on the highway at the wrong place;
+ There is no signal to let other drivers know when they are forced to stop or park on the highway in the wrong place;
+ U-turn on the highway.
- Fine from 10 - 12 million VND for the following acts:
+ Reversing on the highway; traveling in the wrong direction on the highway;
+ Operating specialized motorbikes with a design speed of less than 70 km/h, tractors entering the highway, except for vehicles and equipment serving the management and maintenance of the highway.
For drivers of bicycles, motorized bicycles (including electric bicycles), and other non-motorized vehicle drivers:
- Fine from 400,000 - 600,000 VND for driving a vehicle on the highway, except for vehicles serving the management and maintenance of the highway.
For pedestrians:
- A fine of 100,000 - 200,000 VND will be imposed on pedestrians entering the highway, except for those serving the management and maintenance of the highway.
