Over 186,000 initiatives, applications in practice
In the period 2023 - 2026, patriotic emulation movements launched and implemented by the Trade Union continued to spread strongly, arousing the aspiration to contribute, promoting the creative potential of union members and workers. As a result, there were more than 186,000 initiatives and applications in practice with a total benefit value of 17,503 billion VND.
The emulation movements "Good Labor, Creative Labor", "Good at state affairs, good at housework", "Culture, sports", "Green - Clean - Beautiful, Ensuring occupational safety and health" continue to be adjusted, concretized and widely deployed at all levels of trade unions. The emulation movement "Innovation, creativity, efficiency in the operation of the Trade Union organization" continues to spread, creating motivation to promote and encourage the team of Trade Union officials to propose initiatives, creative ideas, and solutions to improve the effectiveness of Trade Union activities.
Trade union levels mobilize union members and workers to actively respond and effectively participate in emulation movements launched by the Prime Minister, especially the movement "Promoting the development of synchronous and modern infrastructure; practicing thrift and combating wastefulness" and "The whole country emulates innovation and digital transformation", thereby affirming the role of the Trade Union organization in participating in the implementation of key and breakthrough tasks of the country.
Many good models, creative ways of doing things, and technical innovation initiatives from the grassroots level have been praised and replicated in a timely manner. Standards, conditions, processes, and procedures for commendation have been updated, completed, and concretized to suit the reality of each level of the Trade Union. The rate of commendation for direct workers and people not holding leadership positions reached more than 35%, exceeding the set target, clearly showing the orientation of taking union members and workers as the center, strongly directing commendation to the grassroots level, where they directly organize and respond to emulation movements.
One of the typical examples is the emulation movement on key national projects of the Electricity industry. In which, the "5 best" emulation movement launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Vietnam Electricity Group in coordination at power line, hydropower, and thermal power projects has created a vibrant emulation atmosphere, with clear goals and specific criteria: Fastest progress - Best quality - Safest, most economical - Most creative - Best care for life.
Sharing experiences in organizing and implementing emulation movements, Mr. Do Duc Hung - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union said that emulation movements will be truly effective when associated with specific goals. For example, the 500kV circuit 3 emulation movement, building specific emulation criteria such as "Fastest progress - Best quality - Safest - Most economical - Best care for life".
Or in the emulation movement "Accelerating the progress of investment in construction of key projects of EVN in 2025", the emulation content is concretized by the theme "Three Pioneers, Two Responsibilities": Pioneering in infrastructure, Pioneering in completing progress, Pioneering in overcoming difficulties; Responsibility for ensuring quality, Responsibility for thrift, and combating wastefulness. The more specific and effective the goals, the clearer they become.
Mr. Do Duc Hung - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union said: The emulation spirit only truly spreads and is sustainable when workers feel real concern for working conditions, care for material and spiritual life, and recognize their efforts. In the recent emulation campaigns on key projects of the Electricity industry, trade union levels throughout the Group have organized many visits and encouragements to workers at the construction site, improved living conditions, added spiritual strength to workers, and helped workers feel secure in their work.
