
The house is located in Van Phuc village, a land famous for traditional silk weaving and revolutionary traditions. The owner of the house, Mr. Nguyen Van Duong, has devoted the entire second gate to President Ho Chi Minh and his comrades in the working group to live and work from December 3 to 19, 4. The first theme: Hanoi, the hot days - The Fatherland in danger recreates the historical context of tension at the end of 1946 when Vietnams young independence was at risk of being re-offended.
The second theme: " President Ho Chi Minh living and working in Van Phuc, Ha Dong" focuses on introducing the time period of People living and working in a house in Van Phuc village. Here, President Ho Chi Minh conducted many important internal and external activities: Meeting with representatives of the French Government in Northern Vietnam, sending letters and messages to the National Assembly, the Government and the French Prime Minister; receiving international press delegations, including reporters from the New York Times and Paris - Saigon newspapers. These activities show His persistent efforts in seeking peaceful solutions, even as war is getting closer and closer.
The third theme: "Hanoi people respond to President Ho Chi Minh's National Resistance Call" reflects the spirit of solidarity and determination of the people of the capital when the historic call was issued. This theme emphasizes the unanimous opinion of the entire nation in standing up to protect independence and freedom, opening the Vietnam's long-term resistance war.
Notably, on December 18 and 19, 4, 4, at this house, President Ho Chi Minh chaired the Conference to expand the Central Party Standing Committee, deciding to launch a nationwide resistance war and approved the "Appeal for the Whole Country to Resist". With its special historical value, the relic was ranked in 1975, and the original "Call for National Resistance War" was recognized as a National Treasure, currently preserved at the National Museum of History.
