On the afternoon of December 17, the Closing Ceremony of the Campaign for the collection and donation of resistance monuments took place at the Military Region 5 Cultural House.
At the ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Thi Anh Thu, Director of the Military Region 5 Museum, said that after only 6 months, the Museum had received more than 200 artifacts, images, and documents, including 126 artifacts of high historical value. "This is a figure that is superior to many previous years, affirming the effectiveness of the new approach, touching the people's trust in the responsibility of preserving the war memories of the Military Region," Ms. Thu emphasized.
These figures are not just statistics, but a collection of touching stories. Silver backpacks, yellow lettering pages... were respectfully handed over to the Museum by veterans and martyrs' relatives. That was the journey of thousands of miles of Head of the 20th Regiment Police Department's liaison Committee Nguyen Manh Thuy from Hanoi to bring "the pain of his teammates" back to the old battlefield. That is the absolute belief of Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Suong when depositing the inheritance of her father, the late Commander Nguyen Chanh, for the "common house".
In particular, the story of Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Phuong, who spent 20 years carrying out his father's "unspoken inheritance", preserves a newspaper carrying the news of Uncle Ho's passing.

At the ceremony, the CCB Liaison Committee of Regiment 20 and the "Thanks to the 3 regions" Group presented 640 million VND, joining hands with Military Region 5 to carry out the "Quang Trung Campaign", supporting people in the Central region to overcome the consequences of storms and floods. This noble gesture once again affirms the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, always serving the people.
With the motto "Collisioning with heart, receiving with respect, preserving with responsibility," the Military Region 5 Museum is determined to expand its gratitude arms, so that each artifact returns as a valuable historical site, living forever.
