- Life has many temptations, and it happens to many people, not just to artists.
Social evils are also the same, they can come to anyone, any profession.
First of all, it must start from awareness, that everyone must be aware that it is a bad behavior. No matter what the banned substance is, but as long as we know that it is bad, we will never use it. Starting from that awareness, we will never get involved in those evils, and we will not have to strain ourselves to say that I must try to stay away from temptation.
I think everyone needs to cherish their life, be aware of building a healthy lifestyle and healthy relationships. That is the awareness and choice of each person.
As for people with their own circumstances, they have psychological problems, they also have many barriers... I take an example, currently many people are still hesitant about issues related to mental health. Some people are depressed without knowing they are depressed.
We can judge the act of using banned substances as wrong, but we should not judge anyone's life and circumstances because of that. Even mistakes should be seen from many perspectives.
Everyone needs opportunities to correct mistakes. The only thing is what limits that wrong right is within.

- Therefore, I said, don't rush to judge anyone's whole life and dignity. For me, choose healthy things around, including the environment, people, and even the aura of the profession.
When I step off the stage, I just want to live like a normal person, like grass and trees.
I don't try to keep that aura around me too much. Sometimes those things just make things more cumbersome. Behind the stage lights, I am a normal Phuong Thao of everyday life, like many other people.
On stage, I can be an artist, with aura from the love of the audience. But after that, I am just a farmer like my parents, planting flowers in my garden.
So, never think of yourself as something big, to not reach something smaller, and don't be self-conscious and feel small, not reaching big things.

Many people believe that family factors can also be an impact that pushes a person into depravity and mistakes in life. People's Artist Phuong Thao is also a person who left home early, running shows to help her family. How do those struggles and going back and forth affect you?
- Life is also colorful and people are also like that. Like my family, 5 siblings are 5 different personalities. Not everyone is good and not everyone is bad. Everyone has good and bad points, just look at the good side of others to live, and look at the bad and incomplete sides of others to see that you also need to improve. If we judge them, we are the ones who are tired.
Of course, family is the foundation of society, everyone comes out of a family. A good family will raise a good child and society will have a good citizen.
But on the contrary, we cannot blame circumstances. Many people in difficult circumstances still become people with good social awareness and a good citizen.
So don't blame circumstances, look back at yourself. Circumstances can be influencing factors, and the final choice is up to you.
You once shared about your past of singing very early, being busy and diligently running shows to the point of not having time to count money in the evening to help your family. Did that past help you avoid temptations?
- In those days, I sang from 7 to 11 shows every day, so busy that I didn't know how much money I could earn. When I got home, I was very tired and sleepy. I only had time to wash my face and go to sleep, and get up in the morning to put on makeup again. I always put on makeup myself to go singing, take care of my ao dai, and schedule everything. It's not like now that there is management support.
But it must be recognized that everyone has their own destiny. That independent, struggling life has helped me grow up and become more complete.
Some people look at NSND Phuong Thao's 9,000m2 house to say that she has been doing smoothly since she first started her career. Are you satisfied with what you have?
- If you are an ambitious person, you will often want a busy life, diligently going to shows and singing forever, unable to stay in a quiet place like the suburbs. When our minds are always chaotic, everywhere will be chaotic.
At this age, looking back at my journey, I see that everything in life originates from choice and choice speaks to me, my nature.
Now, I can live in the suburbs for weeks without ever returning to Hanoi. I like such a quiet, peaceful, and tranquil life. No hustle and bustle, no worries.
After the storms, People's Artist Pham Phuong Thao has a new happiness. Perhaps the house on the hill and 9,000m2 of garden are a life suitable for you?
- That's right! That's the life that suits me best. I think that's also the arrangement that fate has for me and I'm happy about it.
Initially, when I first got married, I intended to try being a daughter-in-law because he also had another garden house nearby.
That garden is very large, with many green trees, but it is located in the plains, so there is no feeling of clouds surrounding it like the garden house on the hill where I live.
On the hill, the temperature is also about 4 degrees Celsius lower than the plain, the air is fresh and the feeling of clouds and sunshine is also different. My other half also liked the space on the hill, so after a while, we moved to live in my garden.
Can you share more about your partner who is accompanying you?
- He works in the field of construction. We found a connection. He is also a garden enthusiast, choosing to live in the suburbs. I take care of my garden, he takes care of his garden, until we met, we still walked back and forth between the 2 gardens every day.
He is a calm, innocent and carefree man, exuding peaceful energy. I like to be close to people like that. In a complex society, an environment where glory can make people delusional, I want to keep myself moderate, in my own frequency, which is to seek peace and quiet.
