Under the early rays of sunshine of the days leading up to Tet, the atmosphere at the banh tet wrapping contest organized by the Can Tho City Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) became more bustling than ever. Laughter and laughter mixed with the aroma of sticky rice and banana leaves created a Tet space imbued with the Mekong Delta. Union members, workers, and civil servants together showed off their skills.
Mr. Le Hoang Ngoc (worker at TKG Taekwang Can Tho Co., Ltd.), shared with a sparkling face of joy: "When I received information about the competition, I felt very nervous about Tet, even lost sleep because of preparation. Although at the company we cannot prepare as fully as at home, we always try our best, as much as we can.
For Mr. Ngoc and many other male workers, holding banana leaves and ropes in their hands is not just a competition, but a wrapping of feelings: "I try to wrap them beautifully and deliciously to give to the brothers and sisters. Material value may not be much, but it is a feeling sent to everyone to have Tet.
The atmosphere of the contest became even more bustling when the sisters together showed off the special ingredients. While meticulously arranging the salted egg filling into the layer of beans, Ms. Le Diem My (worker at Lac Ty II Co., Ltd.) said that this is a rare opportunity for everyone to relax after a year of hard work.
This is an opportunity for women to gather, reunite and look back at the past year. Being relieved of fatigue like this, we seem to have more motivation to produce in the new year excitedly and more conveniently," the female worker said.

The spread of sharing is not only limited to the production sector but also touches the hearts of those standing on the podium. Instead of everyday lesson plans, teachers also enthusiastically participate with a community-oriented spirit.
Ms. Luu Thu Thuy - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Can Tho University of Engineering and Technology shared that the humanistic meaning of the program when the cakes are sent to boarding houses has motivated the teachers to try their best: "When they know the cakes will be sent to workers in difficult circumstances, the teachers become even more enthusiastic. Everyone tries to wrap the best quality cakes to share love.
Ms. Tran Tu Nhien - Vice Chairwoman of the Can Tho City Labor Federation, emphasized: "In modern times, with the hurried pace of life, we rarely have the opportunity to personally prepare neat Tet feasts. The contest aims to preserve the traditional beauty from being lost, and at the same time create cohesion between workers. No matter where they are from, what department they are in, when they come here, they are all a family.

The banh tet wrapping contest of the Can Tho City Labor Federation has closed, but its aftertaste remains forever. That is the aroma of sticky rice, the rich flavor of the meat filling, and above all the warmth of kindness, helping workers far from home feel less lonely and warmer when spring comes to Tay Do land.
