Malaysia Airlines' search for missing MH370 has covered a vast seabed area without any significant discoveries.
Search operations deployed by Ocean Infinity's Armada 8605 ship surveyed a total area of about 7,236.40km2 as of January 15.
Updated information on the MH370 search is detailed in the progress report published by the Association of Relatives of Passengers and Crew on flight MH370.
Search operations were conducted in the southern Indian Ocean, belonging to the 7th arc, using a maximum of 3 Hugin (AUV) self-propelled diving vehicles.
MH370 search operations took place almost without interruption from January 6 to January 14 thanks to favorable weather conditions.
The survey was temporarily suspended on January 15 due to bad weather, and all 3 AUVs were safely recalled.
The search operation continues to be carried out systematically in the identified search area" - the latest update report on the MH370 search progress stated.
The report also added that the next results depend on resuming the survey and favorable operating conditions.
After this period, the Armada 8605 is expected to return to Fremantle, Australia to exchange crew.
The Malaysian government signed an agreement with Ocean Infinity to resume MH370 search operations in April last year.
Flight MH370 went missing on March 8, 2014, while en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. There were 239 people on board.
