Everyone contributes to greening the earth
At the program to visit the Banking sector's historical relic site in Son Duong, Tuyen Quang, Mr. Dao Minh Tu - Permanent Deputy Governor of the State Bank, Chairman of the Vietnam Banking Trade Union, on behalf of the State Bank's Board of Directors and the Vietnam Bank Trade Union, called on all cadres, union members and workers in the entire banking system with the highest spirit and sense of responsibility to actively participate in the Tet program "Forever grateful to Uncle Ho" and the program of planting 1 million trees launched by the Prime Minister to contribute to greening the earth, preventing natural disasters, soluble intrusion, and responding to climate change.
The Tet tree planting program "Forever grateful to Uncle Ho" is organized annually so that cadres, union members, and workers in the banking industry can promote the good tradition every time Tet comes, Spring comes according to the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh.
Discussing the response and organization of the tree planting Tet, Vice President of the Trade Union of the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) - Tran Phuong said that BIDV is currently implementing a program to plant 1 million trees in industrial parks, urban areas, and protective forests to minimize the impact of natural disasters, protect the environment and sustainable development goals. Up to now, 500,000 trees have been planted and the plan is to add 250,000 trees in 2025...
Directing the implementation of the program "Tet tree planting to forever remember Uncle Ho" and the program "Joining hands to eliminate 1,000 temporary and dilapidated houses", Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Governor of the State Bank hopes that all union members, cadres, civil servants, and employees of the banking sector will actively participate to contribute to environmental protection, combat climate change, and promote the spirit and good traditions of the nation and the banking sector in social security work.
It can be seen that with the propaganda, organization and mobilization of the Trade Union organization, every Spring, many cadres, union members and workers actively participate in planting trees. These are not only tree plantings at the workplace, creating a Green - Clean - Beautiful working environment, but also tree planting at home to create a landscape.
Every time Spring comes, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nu, Phuc Tho district (Hanoi) and her children plant some kind of tree around their yard. In 2025, she and her children decided to plant bougainvillea trees at the beginning of the season in the hope that the trees would bloom to beautify the yard. Ms. Nu said that in recent years, the district union has launched a tree planting Tet program, so her company has also responded. According to her, the company planting many trees in the premises will create shade, bringing fresh air and beautiful landscapes to workers.
But to get those things, each worker of the company must actively participate in planting, caring for and protecting trees. It is known that in 2025, Phuc Tho district aims to plant 10,000 new trees. With its role, the District Labor Federation directs 100% of grassroots unions to actively coordinate with local authorities, employers and socio-political organizations to develop plans, choose locations, types of trees and organize the launching ceremony of "Tet tree planting to forever remember Uncle Ho" Spring At Ty 2025 in localities, agencies, units and enterprises in the district; at the same time, proactively participate in caring for, managing and protecting trees to grow and develop well.
District Trade Unions at all levels actively propagate and mobilize union members, workers, civil servants and laborers in the district to participate in planting and caring for trees during Tet at agencies, units, enterprises and localities; uphold the self-awareness in maintaining environmental sanitation to make the environmental landscape in the district increasingly green, clean and beautiful; improve the quality of new rural construction criteria, contributing to making Phuc Tho district worthy of being the green belt of the Capital.

Promoting the social responsibility of enterprises
The 2025 tree planting festival was launched by Vietnam Electricity Trade Union at the Hai Phong Thermal Power Joint Stock Company. Immediately after the launching ceremony, the leaders and all officers and employees will plant 500 cashew trees, 10 mango trees out of a total of 1,300 cashew trees, and 46 mango trees that the company will plant during this year's Tet tree planting launching ceremony.
Mr. Do Duc Hung - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union called on all cadres, union members, workers and civil servants in the entire group to continue to raise awareness of the significance of tree planting, not only stopping at launching ceremonies, but must spread into regular and continuous actions.
Song Bung Hydropower Company also held a launching ceremony in response to the program "Tet tree planting to forever remember Uncle Ho" in 2025 at the Song Bung 2 Hydropower Plant and spillway area with the participation of many cadres, union members, and workers. Mr. Vuong Thanh Chung - Deputy Director, Chairman of the Company's Trade Union said that tree planting activities not only create a cool green landscape, improve the living environment but also demonstrate the social responsibility of the enterprise in joining hands to respond to climate change.
The movement also helps raise awareness of environmental protection for cadres and employees, contributing to building a Green - Clean - Beautiful working environment. After the launching ceremony, the Company continued to implement tree care and protection activities and encouraged staff and workers to maintain a spirit of environmental protection every day, not just stopping at planting trees.
At the Cao Bang Provincial Federation of Labor, Mr. Tran Cong Huan - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor said that "Tet tree planting" has become one of the regular activities of the Trade Union organization, tree planting will become a practical and effective emulation movement at all levels of the Trade Union in the province, one of the practical actions of each cadre, party member, civil servant and employee in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.
Not only does each person enthusiastically participate in planting trees and forests, but the person planting the tree, the person growing the tree, the person growing the tree, the tree that is good. Thereby, it also continues to raise awareness and take effective measures to protect forests, prevent illegal deforestation, forest burning and exploitation. In that spirit, right after the launching ceremony of "Tet tree planting to forever remember Uncle Ho" in the Spring of At Ty 2025 in Na Hoan hamlet, Binh Duong commune, Hoa An district organized by the Provincial Federation of Labor, cadres, union members, and employees planted 3,000 bonsai acacia trees to ensure the procedures and techniques on the area of 2 hectares; 100% of trees after planting continued to be cared for and managed to ensure good growth and development. This is the third consecutive year that the Provincial Federation of Labor has launched the program "Tet tree planting to forever remember Uncle Ho".
The goal of the Project to plant one billion trees in the period of 2021 - 2025 approved by the Prime Minister is that by the end of 2025, the whole country will plant one billion trees, of which 690 million trees will be scattered in urban and rural areas, 310 million trees will be concentrated in protective forests, special-use forests and new plantings in production forests to contribute to protecting the ecological environment, improving the landscape and responding to climate change, developing the socio-economy, improving the quality of life of people and the sustainable development of the country.
