That poor lady, pretending to be there, was also an 80s-old woman. However, Xuan Quynh is forever youthful, charming, and passionate in love even though we remember her reading a few verses for nearly 4 decades.
In the memory of Xuan Quynh, poets, friends, relatives, and lovers of her poems came together during a conversation "March and another perspective on the word Love in Xuan Quynh's poetry" organized by journalist Vinh Quyen at Fufiem cafe.
There is nothing big or serious, except for the seemingly beautiful memories like the drizzle in March that make my soul sweat. The faces in the conversation were all people who loved Xuan Quynh and her verses, four verses or poems from the time of blue hair to the time of gray hair still in love.
There were also Luu Tuan Anh, the son of poet Xuan Quynh with her first husband - artist Violon Luu Tuan, and journalist Luu Minh Vu, who called Xuan Quynh "mother", even though he was the son of poet Luu Quang Vu with artist To Uyen. The two beauty queens whose hair has also changed color, becoming "young men", are the ones who have followed Xuan Quynh's full love letter.
For journalist Vinh Quyen, Xuan Quynh's words of Love are not only limited to love between couples but are much more open, from mother and child love, family love, love for life, love for nature, love for Hanoi and above all, love for the country and people of Vietnam.
From that large word of Love, her relatives and poets sat together, listening, reading and sharing familiar poems and even strange poems so that everyone could understand and love Xuan Quynh's poem more in a space filled with the yellow color of chrysanthemums, as she once mentioned.
In the airy atmosphere of the grapefruit flower, every word of Xuan Quynh is released, moving the hearts and tones. From familiar poems such as the spring poem collection for the three children including: "The fairy tale about loai nguoi", "The sky in the egg"... and then moved to the poems that made Xuan Quynh's brand such as: " Waves", " Boat and sea", "Autumn Festival".
And even the poems written about Hanoi, filled with her love for Hanoi such as: "Bao gio ngua hoa", "Mua ha", "Lon yeu Thu Do", "Nhien Duong Nghe Gian", "Cay Ha Noi", "Thanh Ba viet cho chi", "Yua nghi ve thanh pho vao xuong", "Dai dat thuoc ve toi"...
All of this made people stir up their thoughts because of the love she had for this land, which was so beautiful, profound and passionate. That sentiment has existed for half a century, but why is it still fresh in the reading of Autumn Festival by journalist Thanh Nhan, Sky in the egg by writer Le Phuong Lien or The fairy tale about extra-enting species by writer Tran Tuyet Minh...
In that affection of Ms. Xuan Quynh, we feel the tranency of feminism for the person we love, for the land we love. That is the beauty of the ocean that is always hugging and pushing the boat to be personalized into Xuan Quynh's intense love, to the point of being willing to offer up both hands - the only treasure she has - to cook, watch, and enhance the reputation of the person she loves.
It is strange that in the afternoon of that first March, we experienced 3 states of " loving" of her, through different performances of the poem "Ship and Sea", through the voice of writer Trung Si, through the voice of singer Tien Hung (song-song version of musician Huu Xuan) and the voice of musician Tran Le Chien (song-song version of musician Phan Huynh Dieu).
The poem "The Boat and the Sea" is a great love of Xuan Quynh, so it is easy to understand why he is so loved! Musician Huu Xuan has been playing this song since the 1970s. At that time, he was working at the TW Song and Dance Troupe (now the Vietnam Song and Dance Theater) with artist Luu Tuan, Xuan Quynh's first husband.
When he read The Ship and the Sea for the first time, he felt the hidden soul of music in each poem, a strong desire to live, the passion of the heart to love to the end. And musician Huu Xuan popularized the song "Thuyen va bien" as what it was.
Later, he shared: When I finished reading this poem by Xuan Quynh, a wave suddenly surged in my heart about the idea of using those poems and ideas? Therefore, in the song, I use wide ranges ( ranges 7 and 8) to describe emotions like rising waves".
With the same poem, musician Phan Huynh Dieu released it in 1980, in his second voice with a lyrical melody, full of feminism. The standard version of musician Huu Xuan is in contrast when the work is written in the male voice, expressing healthiness, brightness but still the maturity of emotions.
After the harmony had subsided, the conversation space gave way to tears, emotions, gaps, and explosive emotions when Xuan Quynh's voice read the long poem " Sing with the ship" from the ice and sand.
Her voice is extremely clear in the tape made by the Art Department of the Voice of Vietnam and perhaps is also Xuan Quynh's only recording tape still preserved. In the yellow color of chamomile, her image here is very vivid, with eyes that know how to laugh, a cries that know how to laugh, even though it is only through the sound vibrations:
Honey, I sing for you
Even if it's not good, don't laugh
In spring, I sing with people
With the ship - singing words of love...".
Her words of sharing her feelings for Xuan Quynh and her works kept flowing endlessly, like the drizzle of Spring flying in the "d field of no mist". Nearly 40 years have passed, but we still love Xuan Quynh, love the verses that have gone down from youth to now.
Her verses still fly, according to the artist Huyen An's painting "Autumn in Love". everything will fly away, "only you and I", only our love for Xuan Quynh will last forever, and then that love will surge again when March comes.
