From the position of a worker, in 2014, Mr. Pham Dinh Duan was assigned the task of production team leader No. 1 at Exploitation Workshop 14, Vang Danh Coal Joint Stock Company (Vietnam Coal - Mineral Industries Group). Under the leadership of Mr. Duan, over the past 10 years, his team has exceeded the annual exploitation plan by 110 to 115%. For many consecutive years, it has been recognized as an "Excellent Labor Group".

Having experience to lead the brothers in the group, Mr. Duan always remembers the first days of entering the furnace, having to face high temperatures, stuffy air, complex geology and countless lurking dangers. But then with determination and determination, Mr. Duan overcame everything, until now he shared: "This job, if you don't love it, you can't survive. At first, I also hesitated and felt scared. But then, every time I went underground, every time I faced difficulties with my brothers, I understood more about why so many people still chose to stay in the profession...

For Mr. Duan, it is not only his love for the job but also the responsibility of a worker to the unit. Therefore, in previous years, he continued to study at the University of Mining, completing the Master's degree in Mining in 2023. Over the past 10 years, Mr. Duan has directly accompanied more than 100 new workers and trainee students. Mr. Duan has inspired his colleagues and new workers with his dedicated, responsible working spirit and love for the job.

At the press conference of the Vietnam Glory 2025 program chaired by Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Colonel Nguyen Van Hiep - Head of the Propaganda Department, Political Department, General Department of Defense Industry (Ministry of National Defense) - one of 13 collectives honored in the Vietnam Glory 2025 program said that throughout the two long-term resistance wars to the period of peace, construction and protection of the Fatherland, the General Department of Defense Industry is one of the quiet units, contributing its achievements and contributions to the armed forces in particular and building and defending the Fatherland in general.

Second, collectives and individuals have excellently completed their tasks in recent years and have the potential to contribute in the coming years with outstanding achievements in the digital economy, green economy, innovation, and positive impacts on sustainable development.

Third, advanced models with exemplary actions, highly appreciated by public opinion, are a source of inspiration for the community. The new point of the Vietnam Glory program in 2025 is not only focusing on honoring collectives and individuals who have had many achievements but also focusing on finding collectives and individuals with great potential to contribute in the future, expressing the aspiration of the nation to rise up.

The theme of the Vietnam Glory program in 2025 is "Pride and Aspiration" to remind everyone about the proud historical journey of the nation since 1945 until now, honoring great achievements in many fields such as politics, economics, culture, science and technology and the military; at the same time, emphasizing the nation's aspiration to reach far in the new era.
