On the afternoon of October 11, in Tinh Bien town, the An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) held a meeting to review the Union's activities in the third quarter and set out the direction of activities in the fourth quarter of 2024.
In the third quarter, Trade Unions at all levels proactively and actively implemented synchronous Trade Union activities and workers' movements, achieving many positive results.

After listening to the opinions and suggestions of the delegates, Mr. Lam Thanh Si - Chairman of the An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor - said that it is necessary to strive and focus on removing obstacles in the fourth quarter to speed up the progress of completing the implementation of the 2024 Trade Union work program. Accordingly, focusing on the following 8 key tasks:
1. Continue to effectively implement the program and action plan to implement the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, term 2023 - 2028 and Plan No. 450/KH-LDLD, dated November 10, 2021 of the Provincial General Confederation of Labor on implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party and Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW, dated June 12, 2021 of the Politburo on "Innovation of organization and operation of Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in the new situation".
2. Strengthen the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the rights of workers, especially workers in difficult circumstances; closely forecast the situation to propose appropriate and practical solutions for trade union activities; coordinate inspection and supervision of compliance with labor laws, trade unions, social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance.
3. Promote the implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws and policies; closely monitor the employment situation, life, aspirations of union members and employees, and production and business activities of enterprises, especially those currently facing difficulties; support enterprises in recruiting workers, accompany enterprises in developing stable and harmonious production to improve income, life and employment of union members and employees.
4. Promote emulation movements at the grassroots level, promote labor productivity, product quality, work efficiency, and ensure labor safety.
5. Focus all resources on developing union members and establishing grassroots unions, focusing on non-state sector and informal sector workers; promote propaganda and mobilization in many flexible forms so that workers understand and voluntarily join the Union and employers support and facilitate the establishment of grassroots unions.
6. Improve the effectiveness of activities of female workers, civil servants, laborers and the Women's Union of non-state enterprises. Continue to implement the Plan to organize the model "Your Health" in 2024. Organize Mid-Autumn Festival activities for children of union members and employees; activities to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 - October 20, 2024) and Vietnamese Women's Day.
7. Implement and complete the 2024 Inspection and Supervision Program, focusing on inspecting the collection, expenditure, and financial management of Trade Unions at all levels, and improving the quality of peer-level financial inspections.
8. Focus on collecting union funds and fees. Minimize the loss of union funds and fees, at the same time strictly manage, spend economically, serve well the activities of the union organization and take care of union members and workers.
