On May 16, the Tien Du Commune Trade Union coordinated with the Tien Du Commune Political Center to organize the opening ceremony of a training class on Party awareness for union members and workers in enterprises in the commune.
Attending the opening ceremony were Comrade Thach Van Chung - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Provincial Party Committee Member, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation; Comrade Tran Van Vung - Provincial Party Committee Member, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Commune People's Council; Comrade Nguyen Minh Khoa - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Commune People's Committee; Comrade Bui Huu Hien - Member of the Standing Committee, Chairman of the Commune Fatherland Front Committee.
Participating in the class were 51 trainees who are outstanding union members and workers selected and introduced by grassroots trade unions to participate in training to create a source of party member development in enterprises.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Comrade Thach Van Chung - Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation emphasized that the discovery, fostering and introduction of outstanding union members to the Party for consideration and admission is an important political task of the trade union organization in the current period; and at the same time is an important solution to build a team of party members who come from workers with political bravery, qualifications, organizational discipline and high sense of responsibility in enterprises.
Comrade said that after the merger of Bac Giang and Bac Ninh provinces, the Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation is currently directly directing trade unions in 25 wards and communes along with more than 2,063 grassroots trade unions with over 631,000 trade union members. It is expected that by the end of 2026, the number of trade union members in the whole province will increase by about 100,000 people, making Bac Ninh one of the leading localities in the country in terms of the number of trade union members.
According to Comrade Thach Van Chung, to ensure the quality of Party admission sources, each grassroots trade union in the whole province needs to proactively introduce 3 to 5 outstanding union members to participate in Party awareness training classes, thereby selecting truly typical masses to consider admission.
Comrade Thach Van Chung affirmed that the trade union organization plays a particularly important role in propaganda, political and ideological education, caring for and protecting the rights of workers and building an excellent contingent of workers for the Party.
The Party awareness training class is organized to equip students with basic knowledge about the history of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Platform, Party Charter, goals, and revolutionary ideals of the Party; and at the same time raise political awareness, sense of responsibility and motivation to strive to become members of the Communist Party of Vietnam for union members and workers in enterprises.
According to the plan, during the study period, students will study topics on generalizing the history of the Communist Party of Vietnam; basic contents of the Platform for building the country in the transition to socialism period; Charter of the Communist Party of Vietnam; studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style; striving to become members of the Communist Party of Vietnam. At the end of the course, eligible students will be granted certificates of completion of the Party awareness training class according to regulations.
Through the class, it contributes to improving the quality of work, creating sources for developing party members among workers; promoting the role of trade union organizations in participating in building the Party and building a strong political system from the grassroots level.
