Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh - Chairman of the Ben Tre Provincial Federation of Labor said that since the beginning of the year, the Provincial Federation of Labor has organized the program "Ben Tre Caravan Trade Union 2025" associated with the journey to the source, giving 135 gifts and 5 charity houses.
During Workers' Month alone, 50 Party members who are workers were honored, 285 gifts were presented, 7 Trade Union Shelters and certificates of merit were presented to 250 outstanding workers. Many activities such as sports festivals, competitions, launching ceremonies and dialogues with provincial leaders were also widely held.
According to Mr. Linh, in response to the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, the Ben Tre Provincial Federation of Labor has mobilized the construction and handover of 19 houses to union members and workers in difficult circumstances. To date, 100% of eligible subjects have been supported, each apartment is worth from 85 to 120 million VND.
The union identifies caring for the material and spiritual lives of union members and workers as a continuous task. No one should be left behind, especially in the context of businesses cutting orders, many workers losing their jobs, and reducing income.
"Those efforts not only help workers overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives but also affirm their role as a companion and a reliable support for the Trade Union organization in the context of many economic challenges," Mr. Linh added.
