At the ceremony, the Labor Confederation of Thoi Lai district passed the Decision on recognizing the Cham Non La Trade Union of Thoi Lai town, and the Decision on admitting members of the Cham Non La Hat Trade Union of Thoi Lai town. Accordingly, 30 workers from the Cham Non La group in Thoi Lai town were admitted to the Vietnam Trade Union.
The ceremony also announced the Decision on the appointment of the Provisional Executive Committee of Thoi Lai Town's Cham Non La Trade Union, with Ms. Ngo Thi Hong Cam holding the position of President of the Union.
The establishment of the Grassroots Union aims to contribute to the good performance of the representative function of caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers.
On this occasion, the Can Tho City Labor Federation and the Thoi Lai District Labor Federation also presented 6 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND to union members in particularly difficult circumstances. Other members of the Union received a gift worth 200,000 VND/person.
On the same day, the Labor Federation of Thoi Lai district also organized a program to award scholarships and gifts to students who are children of trade union members in difficult circumstances on the occasion of the beginning of the 2024 - 2025 school year. This is an activity to contribute to taking care of children of trade union members in difficult circumstances. for disadvantaged students in the district.
At the program, 20 scholarships were awarded to students who are children of union members in difficult circumstances, each worth 600,000 VND, taken from the Golden Heart Charity Fund of Can Tho Trade Union. . In addition, 50 other disadvantaged students were also given gifts of school supplies, worth 350,000 VND/part, sponsored by Can Tho Lottery Company.
