This is a practical activity within the framework of celebrating the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2026). The activity is organized by the Hoi An Tay Ward Trade Union in coordination with Saigon Song Han Eye Hospital to organize an eye exam, consultation and free medicine distribution program for union members, workers and relatives in the area.
Speaking at the program, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hien - Chairwoman of Hoi An Tay Ward Trade Union - said that taking care of the health of union members and workers is always the central task of the Trade Union organization. Coordinating with medical units aims to create conditions for union members to access quality examination and consultation services, contributing to early detection and timely treatment of eye diseases.
Right in the first examination session, the program attracted more than 150 turns of union members, workers and relatives to participate. Doctors and nurses of Saigon Song Han Eye Hospital directly checked vision, examined eye diseases, advised on visual health care, provided free medicine and guided on monitoring and treatment for cases requiring in-depth intervention.
On this occasion, Saigon Song Han Eye Hospital presented 300 free eye exams and 100 free cataract surgery supports to union members and workers of Hoi An Tay Ward Trade Union. This is a practical source of support for union members and families in difficult circumstances, helping to reduce treatment costs and improve the quality of health care.
According to the plan, the program takes place in two days, creating conditions for a large number of union members, workers and their relatives to receive free eye examination, consultation and care. The activity not only contributes to raising awareness about preserving vision but also demonstrates the companionship of the Trade Union organization in caring for the lives, health and welfare of union members and workers.
