Admitting union members, more benefits for workers
After a year of operating under the new model, An Phu Ward Trade Union, Gia Lai has created many imprints in the work of building organizations, caring for union members and protecting the rights of workers.
Along with bringing the resolutions of the Party and Trade Unions at all levels into practice, An Phu Ward Trade Union actively mobilized union members to participate in emulation movements, competitions and sports tournaments organized by the Provincial Labor Federation.
The outstanding result is winning 1 Third Prize, 1 Consolation Prize at the "Skillful Youth Union Members, Preserving Vietnamese Tet Soul" contest and the championship of the 2026 Gia Lai Provincial Workers and Laborers Men's Football Tournament.
With the motto of focusing on grassroots levels, the Ward Trade Union proactively accompanies grassroots trade unions in caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers. Propaganda and dissemination of labor laws, social insurance, and health insurance are regularly implemented, helping to raise awareness and limit labor disputes.
The unit also signed a welfare program with Cao Nguyen Eye Hospital to bring more benefits to union members.
In particular, 100% of state-owned agencies and units organize conferences of officials and employees; 100% of businesses organize dialogues and employee conferences. The Ward Trade Union also supports units in negotiating and signing collective labor agreements with many practical contents related to lunch meals and welfare regimes.
Thanks to synchronous solutions, in the first year of operation, An Phu Ward Trade Union has developed 215 more union members and newly established 4 grassroots trade unions.
A support for union members and workers
Social security work continues to be a bright spot with many practical activities. During the 2026 Lunar New Year, 170 union members in difficult circumstances were supported with shopping vouchers worth 500,000 VND/person, with a total budget of 85 million VND.
The unit also coordinated to give gifts to 64 union members in difficult circumstances with a total value of more than 83 million VND; supported 8 union members with dangerous diseases and 20 union members in difficult circumstances with a budget of 30 million VND.
In addition, the Ward Trade Union proposed to support the construction of 1 "Trade Union Warm House" worth 70 million VND and support loans to solve employment for 3 union member families with a total amount of 150 million VND.
In Workers' Month 2026, the unit continues to visit and encourage many union members suffering from serious illnesses, contributing to spreading the spirit of sharing and solidarity.
The achieved results have been recognized by all levels with many forms of commendation. Many collectives, individuals and union members were awarded emulation flags and certificates of merit by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Gia Lai Provincial Confederation of Labor for their outstanding achievements in the emulation movement and building trade union organizations.
After one year of operation, An Phu Ward Trade Union has gradually affirmed its role as a reliable support for union members and workers; contributing to building an increasingly strong trade union organization, meeting development requirements in the new period.
