According to the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ), Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2026 are seriously and synchronously implemented by trade union levels in the province, closely following the theme and content of direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and in accordance with the actual conditions of localities, agencies, units, and enterprises. Many activities are organized strongly towards grassroots levels, taking union members and workers (NLĐ) as the center, ensuring practicality, effectiveness and spillover effect.
Trade union levels have proactively advised Party committees, closely coordinated with authorities, professionals, and employers to implement many activities to care for and protect the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; focusing on dialogue activities, collective negotiations, visits, and support for union members in difficult circumstances, labor accidents, occupational diseases, and critical illnesses; organizing the "Thank you to workers" program, "Trade Union meals", "Day for workers' health", cultural and sports activities, voluntary blood donation and union member welfare programs. Thereby, continuing to affirm the role and position of the Trade Union organization in representing, caring for, and protecting union members and workers.

The Provincial Labor Federation has considered supporting 2,000 union members and workers in difficult circumstances; supported 290 cases of work accidents, occupational diseases, and critical illnesses. At the same time, 3 working groups were established to directly go to businesses in Long Xuyen ward, Rach Gia ward and localities in the province to visit and encourage union members and workers in particularly difficult circumstances; authorized the Phu Quoc Special Zone Trade Union to organize visits and provide support to union members and workers in the area.
The "Trade Union Meal" program continues to be widely implemented, creating a cohesive atmosphere between Trade Union organizations, businesses and employees. The whole province has 36 organizing units, attracting more than 9,200 union members and workers to participate. Typically, the grassroots trade union of Hwaseung Rach Gia Co., Ltd. has coordinated with the Board of Directors of the Company to organize "Trade Union Meal" for more than 6,000 union members and employees, and at the same time integrated exchange and gratitude activities for employees, creating a joyful and united atmosphere in the enterprise. This is one of the typical models with a large scale, showing the practical concern of the enterprise for employees and the effective connecting role of the Trade Union organization.
In addition, Trade Union levels continue to effectively implement the "Union Member Welfare" Program, coordinating with businesses and partners to provide preferential goods and services. 3,350 union members and workers benefit through discount programs, preferential shopping, health consultations, tourism tours...

Chairman of An Giang Provincial Labor Federation Do Tran Thinh said that Workers' Month is not only a peak activity in the year but also an opportunity for grassroots trade unions to most clearly show their responsibility, feelings and companionship with union members and workers. Therefore, throughout the organization of activities this year, the Provincial Labor Federation has identified the motto "Guiding all activities to the grassroots level, dedicating the best things to union members and workers".
The outstanding new point of Workers' Month 2026 is that activities are organized in a direction closer to workers, closer to grassroots levels and stemming from the most practical needs of union members. Instead of focusing heavily on formal activities, the An Giang Trade Union organization prioritizes resources for direct care activities at enterprises, workplaces, workers' boarding houses and areas with a large number of workers.

It can be said that the biggest goal that An Giang Trade Union aims for is not only to better care for workers in a peak month but also to build a safe and stable working environment, where workers are cared for, respected, protected their rights and have conditions for comprehensive development. Each activity organized aims to improve the quality of life, consolidate trust and strengthen the attachment of union members to the Trade Union organization," Mr. Thinh emphasized.
